@cafelyria is a west village staple for a reason! The coffee never misses and if you can get a seat it’s great for sitting, reading, working or talking. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in the city! taken in New York, New York by @but_first.coffeee

Good vibes and good coffee at @smileycoffee1972! They don’t have a ton of seating so don’t expect to stay for long, but with the weather cooling down it’s an ideal spot to drop in, grab something delicious and take a walk around the neighborhood! I’d highly recommend the signature drink the smiley! taken in New York, New York by @but_first.coffeee

@birdrockcoffeeroasters is a must visit if you find yourself in San Diego! They have a few locations throughout the city and a whole lot of very good coffee. This location is by the waterfront downtown and the perfect place to hang out and get some work done. taken in San Diego, California by @but_first.coffeee

@papercoffeenyc is the perfect spot to grab a drink and hang out. They don’t have wifi, but if you have a hot spot it would be a great place to get some work done! taken in New York, New York by @but_first.coffeee

Charleston is where I fell in love with coffee shops. I don’t get back there very often, but when I do I visit these 3 every time:
1. Kudu- Kudu has been freshly renovated! My favorite is their ham and cheese croissant.
2. The Rise- Where I wrote nearly every paper I was assigned in college. I recommend the vanilla almond latte!
3. Second state- I’ve been lucky enough to visit hundreds of coffee shops across 12+ countries and I still dream about their lavender latte. taken in Charleston, South Carolina by @but_first.coffeee

I think I found the prettiest and most unique coffee shop in NYC. @7springnyc is a coffee shop that revolves around backgammon. You can grab a table and enjoy the delicious coffee, rent a board to play backgammon, purchase your own board or all of the above! I’ll be headed back there as soon as I can. taken in New York, New York by @but_first.coffeee

One of the coolest new spots I visited in 2025 was @motoringcoffee in San Francisco. It was my first time in San Fran and I underestimated the hills, so Motoring was the perfect stop to take a long rest. The coffee was delicious and there are plenty of places to sit too. Definitely worth a visit! taken in San Francisco, California by @but_first.coffeee

Another favorite find in Edinburgh! I think my favorite part about Wellington is the outdoor patio that’s just below street level. This spot was in a busy part of town, but the patio was still peaceful. It’s the perfect spot to people watch or read! Plus I think about that scone allllmost every day. taken in Edinburgh, Scotland by @but_first.coffeee

I’m back! I know I haven’t made an official post in a long time, but to be totally honest I just haven’t had the time to go to any new coffee shops. Luckily, I just traveled to Edinburgh and Dublin and have plenty of content to share! My favorite part of visiting a new place is deciding what coffee shops to go to. I’ve found you not only get a good sense of that countries cafe culture, but you can also deliberately visit a part of the city that you may not have gone to otherwise. @cairngormcoffeeco in Edinburgh, Scotland was no exception to that. It’s very close to the ā€œfairy tale village,ā€ formally named Dean Village, if you need somewhere to stop and rest between exploring like I did! I could’ve sat there and people watched for hours. taken in Edinburgh, Scotland by @but_first.coffeee
