A few years ago I told them how confident I was for the future, and they didn’t believe me. Clearly their belief was not needed.

Huge thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey at Sacramento State. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for every message, conversation, and word of support along the way.

The story ain’t finished, we’re just getting started with the next chapter.

Still buzzing from Friday night. Huge thank you to my teammates at @combatujiujitsu for pushing me, to @bopojoseph and @corymckenna99 for coaching me, and to @el.matador.hec for giving me multiple opportunities to promote myself both in and outside the cage.

Lastly, thank you to my family, friends, and sponsors who have supported me from the very beginning. Whether you watched my matches cageside or from home, none of this would’ve been possible without y’all.

The @sacstatecombatu program set me on a path that I didn’t even know was possible, and while Friday night marked my final collegiate match, there’s still work to be done. Y’all stay tuned, cause we still ain’t done yet.

From a young age, I’ve had dozens of doctors and cardiologists place limits on my physical capabilities. They told me that I would never run, never play basketball, and especially never train jiu jitsu. My life has been full of doubts, trials, and tribulations. And after multiple back-to-back losses inside the cage, I started to believe them.

That was until today, as I can now officially say that I am a @collegiategrappling Division I All-American. What professionals told me was impossible has now become a reality.

All things are possible through Jesus Christ, and if you need reason to believe in Him, allow me to be your proof.

Had a hell of a time last night at A1 Combat’s Prospect Series. Huge thank you to @el.matador.hec and @sac.rando for giving me the opportunity to put my degree to work and cover the event for the promotion. Got to work alongside some great people and experience the sport from a completely different perspective. I came to Sacramento and joined @sacstatecombatu with the sole intention to not just compete under the A1 banner, but to win. This Friday marks my final shot at the one dream I’ve chased throughout my entire collegiate grappling career. What started as an unrealistic promise now comes down to one last chance to finish the story.
