Life has been lifing and it feels like a glitch… but God has been God-ing.

So I’m taking a little break, enjoying this beautiful view, and reminding myself that I don’t have to figure everything out. If God is handling it, I can afford to sit back, breathe, and enjoy the scenery.

Because sometimes when life starts glitching, you just have to log out of the chaos and let God handle the updates.

Losing my only parent feels like losing the center of my world. She wasn’t just Ma she was my first home, my safest place, my constant, my first best friend. She raised us alone as a single parent , carried life on her shoulders, and still somehow made room to carry me too. And now that she’s gone, there’s a silence in my spirit that nothing has been able to fill.

People used to label me a “trouble child” growing up But you gave no fucks and gave me everything strength, love, protection, guidance double, triple, more than some people ever receive. She was my whole team. My whole backbone. My whole story.

It’s been 6 months and I feel like I’m walking through life without my anchor. I feel both grown and small at the same time strong because she raised me that way, but broken because the one person who always understood me, stood by me, fought for me, and loved me unconditionally is no longer here to call, to hug, to hear, or to lean on.

It’s a grief that hits in waves… heavy, deep, and personal. And yet beneath the pain, there’s this quiet gratitude because I got to be loved by a mother who knew how to work my nerve but never let me feel alone, even when the world tried to tell me I was.

I lost my parent, but I also lost my best friend, my protector, my steady place, my personal chef and I’m still learning how to breathe in a world where she isn’t standing or being mixxy next to me like she always did. by @butta1119
