Gajar ka halwa is not just a dessert ; it’s an emotion. 🤌🏼

I still remember sneaking into the kitchen in the middle of the night to steal just a spoonful… or if I was lucky, a small bowl. It was always made in such small batches, and it was so rich that you could never finish too much at once.

But today, when I made it myself, I realised I could eat it all in one go; though I still took only a spoonful. And in that moment, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me. I missed home… missed those warm, comforting memories.

I guess this is how I try to bring a piece of home into my own home — through the food I cook and the love I put into it.

From my kitchen to yours, with a heart full of memories. ❤️

Like how carrie says “After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it’s comforting to know, the ones you love are always in your heart and if you’re very lucky, a plane ride away.”

I bought myself a balloon — simple, pretty, and it made me smile!!
I was just walking home, happy for no reason at all;
Then it slipped away — the rope stayed, but the balloon didn’t.
Maybe…it was meant to fly!
Maybe it was never mine to keep, only to hold for a moment.
The quiet art of letting go!!
Probably “Someone else wanted it more than I did.”☁️🎈

One of my greatest fears growing up was spending my birthday alone.
I still remember that first one in Chicago —
just me, a blueberry muffin, and a single candle flickering in the quiet.
When I blew it out, I wished never to be alone on my birthday again.

And here I am now —
I didn’t just find friends, I found family.
People who wrap me in warmth, who make me feel seen,
who turn ordinary moments into celebrations.

Sometimes, the universe listens.
You just have to wish for it,
believe in it,
and then — gently — blow out the candle! 🩷
