I’m so lucky to have been around so many musical role models for so much of my life and to be able to go back for the last @newyorkvoices camp. Among the many privileges of being a part of this camp for so long was getting to grow up around such a badass as @i_ashby Thanks for helping me round out 18 years of camp with another round of whistle solo trading. taken in Kalamazoo, Michigan by @buzzelli_j

As we approach the 22 year anniversary of my violin debut, @gina_violinista and I present the stupidest thing I’ve ever spent this much time on: A Theme and Variations on The Chicken Dance. Our first violin teacher is retiring this year after 34 years at BGSU and we wanted to dedicate this to her.

The full version is on my YouTube page through the link in my bio.

This is for the serious violin nerds. by @buzzelli_j

POV: You’re my camera and I’m checking to make sure that I actually fully pressed the record button this time.

Shout out this year being a leap year otherwise I would not have made my February cutoff.

Other special thanks include @mauraphelps for playing cello, SoCal Edison for turning off our power for 9 hours today when I had 16 seconds left on my final render, and frontier internet for not getting our internet turned back on.

My arrangement of Laufey’s From The Start for string quartet and voice is on my YouTube channel. Link in bio. taken in Long Beach, California by @buzzelli_j

The face of finishing 13 parts across 7 different versions of largely the same arrangement. In an effort to actually finish some projects, I’m going to try to do one a month. Let’s hope barely getting the first one done on the last day of January isn’t a bad omen. This is my arrangement of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” that I adapted for a variety string chamber ensembles. If you want to see more about it, you can find it here:

Swipe to hear the fruits of my labors and a time lapse of my whole afternoon leading up to the picture.

Thanks to @mauraphelps for lending me her cello playing. by @buzzelli_j

I never did get around to making a Facebook event for it but my graduate violin recital is tonight at 8:00pm PST in the Daniel Recital Hall here at CSULB. It can also be watched live or afterward at this link:

I’m a week late but I’ve been a little busy. 2,917.3 miles from Kalamazoo to Long Beach by way of Des Moines, Denver, Santa Fe, and Flagstaff with a few detours on the way. Almost done moving in just in time to start. taken in Long Beach, California by @buzzelli_j
