Something old; something new.

My response to the brief was focused on the discovery and development of an analogue process that put steps, or blocks, ahead of direct creation of letter forms. Starting with the creation of 22 finger paintings of the New Zealand flag, followed by the tearing apart of those flags. Recycling and destruction led to the discovery of forms hidden within the natural variations found in crude repetition. Forms that wouldn’t have been created had they been my initial goal. Through a simplified frame of mind, I was able to sustain discovery and avoid the instantaneous critique of an adult-mind. by @buzzferkchurnt

It’s here, after a month of stealing time away from the sun, finally the process clicked and got the visuals for WHY? One of the latest songs from my friend and talented rapper YNG.s EP. (Internal - Peep that shit on all good music streaming platforms)

Dudes a killer on the mic and visualising his work comes easily to me. It’s why we’ve been pen pals for years. If to I’d heard all the gems he’s made and sent me and never posted you get what I mean. But he has a vision and is sticking to it and I have nothing but respect for someone who takes their time with their craft in this day an age. Can’t wait for his next shit to drop and the visuals that will come along with it. by @buzzferkchurnt

Desaturated another piece from the neck f the woods series I did last month. Should probably send that invoice instead of posting shit on instagram but oh well.
