🌐🌞🏐🔊 The Project Ball Indoor Volleyball program starts this Sunday, and we’re excited to announce that our second home, Sam Ryan’s Itaewon, has expanded their sponsorship to provide the community with official Mikasa V300W volleyballs. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued support and for partnering with Project Ball since 2013 to help grow Seoul’s sports community by bringing people together through sports and meaningful connections.

Whether you’re new to volleyball or have been playing for years, everyone is welcome to join. WWS Int’l Party No. 32 is here! Join us this Friday, 7/31, at Sam Ryan’s in Itaewon for a night of great food, drinks, fun icebreakers, and an even better community. We’ll be celebrating D1 Gold Standard and D2 Cheetah Girls for winning the M55 Summer ‘26 Championships and the start of R33 and Indoor Volleyball this coming weekend. We’re also introducing a special Open Mic Session, where a few members of our international community will share what they’re building, creating, and experiencing here in Korea. The event is open to everyone 19+, and with a wristband, you’ll receive 50% off select appetizers all night long. Bring your friends, your friends’ friends, and anyone looking to meet new people. WWS, No. 31: Arek’s Goodbye Party

One of our very own members is heading back home early next week, so we’re giving him the send-off he deserves.

Journaling is something I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve never been good at sitting down and writing out my thoughts. I’ve realized that I enjoy getting behind the camera a lot more, so maybe this is just my way of documenting and journaling my life.

After feeling pretty burned out from the past week, I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Sokcho for a break from the chaos of Seoul. Sitting on the sand with a drink or two, soaking up the sun, feeling the sea breeze, and just smelling the ocean was exactly what I needed. It’s funny how something so simple can feel so healing. Walking streets I’d never been on before and trying local food made the trip even better.

I’m also glad a good friend was down to come with me. I enjoy traveling alone and the freedom that comes with it, but I honestly have so much more fun when I get to share the experience with someone I know. The conversations, the laughs, and even the little random moments are what I end up remembering the most.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip. Every now and then, I think about putting together a photography exhibition of moments I’ve captured throughout my 15+ years in Korea. Maybe one day it’ll happen. taken in Sokcho by @buzzmsn
