Once again, I have had the opportunity to serve as a leader for facYOUTH’s summer missions trip. We traveled to Denver, CO for Dare2Share’s Lead THE Cause - a week of service and training in praying over, caring for, and sharing the Gospel with the city and its people.

I loved this trip two years ago, and was so grateful to be on it once again! Scroll through to see some of the highlights!

We stayed on the beautiful Colorado Christian University campus!

Over 500 students from across the country gathered for this week!

On the first full day of the trip - Prayer Day - we traveled to Columbine High School. We spent the day in prayer for our students, schools, and communities. It was a sobering reminder that tomorrow is never promised.

On day 2 - Care Day - we partnered with the Denver Dream Center to provide a community service event. We spent the afternoon organizing games, crafts, and other activities while distributing hope boxes of food and other necessities to the community. The Dream Center has been a staple across the Denver community, and it was so cool to be a part of it!

On day 3 - Share Day - we were in Denver City Park where we shared the hope and life that is only found in Jesus!

On day 4 - Dare Day - we travelled up into the Rockies where we ate, hiked, and worshipped to cap off the week.

This splash pad was so refreshing on such a hot day! At least I didn’t get water in my phone 😏 *cough (Sicily) cough*

Back in the fall, my mom asked if I’d help chaperone a class trip to Chincoteague Bay Field Station on Wallops Island, VA since I’ve been there. I said, “Sure!” half expecting her to find someone else before the trip. Well, she evidently didn’t find anyone else so I got to re-experience this trip I was on as a sixth grader 15 years ago.

It was a really cool opportunity! Many things have stayed the same: wading in the intertidal zone, dune building (and destroying), slogging through the salt marsh, gulls, ponies, crab, fish; but some things have changed, too. I’m older than I was back then. My perspectives on life, ecology, and creation have certainly changed. My knowledge and skill sets have grown. I am very thankful to have had this break to step outside of the walls of my hospital and explore God’s creation.

How could I possibly summarize all the events that have led me to where I am today? I don’t think I can. There are so, so many people I am eternally grateful for; those who have supported me emotionally, financially, spiritually, or educationally.

To my classmates - thank you for persevering alongside me, for struggling beside me, for succeeding, and for always cheering me along. I have no doubt we are all going on to be exceptional physicians.

To my church families - thank you for your guidance, instruction in the right way, and opportunities for formation in the pursuit of God.

To my friends - thank you for allowing me to share this life with you! Your presence have been rest amidst tribulation.

To my family - I cannot even begin to express my utmost thanks for all you have provided me. Thank you seems too weak, but thank you nonetheless.

To my closest friends - thank you. This accomplishment is in no small part thanks you to you. I love you, guys!

To my siblings Dani, Carter, and Ethan - thank you! Being your older brother is a privilege like no other. I am so proud of the people you are becoming. Keep following God’s call on your life! I love you!

To my mom and dad - thank you doesn’t even begin to describe just how blessed I am to have you both as examples in my life. I love you!

And to my Savior, Jesus - thank you for calling me to this profession. Even more importantly, thank you for your constant presence in my life. I pray I keep following after You.

The road hasn’t always been easy, but my God has always been good. Thank you all for the parts you have played in keeping me on this road. What’s next? I’m not sure, but I pray to keep living a Spirit-led life. And with Him guiding, what reason is there to worry?

I matched into Family Medicine at Meadville Medical Center! So blessed to be surrounded by family and friends both near and far! And ecstatic I get to remain in NW PA! “Friendship…is born at the moment when one man says to another ‘What! You too?’” - THE FOUR LOVES. CS Lewis had much to say about the topic of friendship. It has no survival value, rather it adds value to survival.

As I’m in the midst of residency interviews and finishing up fourth year of medical school, my friends never cease adding value to life’s moments.

Enjoy these snapshots of the past few months! They’re but a few of the times and a handful of the friends I’ve been blessed with.
