With sore feet, a belly full of Amen breaks, and a happy heart, I have to send the hugest big-ups and love to everyone who got down to Maroon for Foundation Sound on Friday.

I have not danced like that in a long, long time, and felt every tune in my body and spirit 🔥

Thank you to each and every DJ. Every set was just too damn on point. I lost my voice as well, screaming in appreciation 😄

Thank you to my co-host and compadre, @tehsynes. We'll have our voices back in no time 😄

Thank you to my lovely @dj_com.it for our b2b. You are still the beez kneez behind the decks, legend always ❤️❤️

And every single one of you awesome Junglists. I salute the lot of ya 🫡 by @bwisednb

You might be wondering why we have Hip Hop as part of the line up?
Back in the day we had a large Hip Hop scene in Cape Town running in conjunction with the other underground scenes (Hip Hop was also underground at some point).
You could only hear certain tracks on vinyl by attending the parties or acquiring tapes from overseas.
This, and the DJ pool was a lot smaller so there was a lot more cross pollination between scenes - we are really trying to bring back the vibe exactly as it was minus the baggy pants and lanyards (but you do you) Hope to see you there for the throwback #oldskooljungle #nostalgia #capetownmusic #dnbarchives #hiphoparchives taken in Maroon restaurant and lounge bar by @bwisednb
