Today, on the day that we celebrate one of the greatest Freedom Workers of our time, the National Black Women's Justice Institute @nbwji launched its #FreedomWork campaign.
What is Freedom Work? Freedom Work is the work we do in schools and districts to counter the criminilization of black girls in schools and to facilitate their learning, healing, and development.
Sending much love and gratitude to @monique.w.morris and @nwbji for their commitment to bringing light to this issue and doing the work to restore schools as places of healing and education for black girls.
Follow and support @nbwji and their #FreedomWork campaign on Facebook (@National Black Women's Justice Institute) and Instagram (@NBWJI) and start sharing your #FreedomWork stories! Our girls must know they are sacred and loved. #blackgirls #education #love #healing #mlkday

We're excited and honored to support this important research initiative led by @tweiston and @ymanstrong to understand and share what mentoring looks like for girls and women of color.
Click on the link in our bio to learn more and to add your support by October 24th! ☝🏿 @Regran_ed from @tweiston - ‪Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith and do things for us. That’s what this project is about. I’m not waiting for anyone to give me permission to do this work, I’ll do it with the blessing of women of color all over the world. Thank you to Dr. Bettina Love for being my first backer! If you’re a woman of color, hit the link and give anything, anything at all, and share with other women of color who might be interested in backing this project. Let’s move this work forward together and show our collective action. The link is in the bio. #forusbyus
