Grooves around the click.

The song is in G. The sound you want is in E.

Capo 3 gets you both.

Count up from the shape you want to the key you need. E, F, F#, G. Put the capo there and play your E shapes.

Same key your singers need. The open, droney sound the song needs.

That's one move from Blake Wrinn's capo lesson. The full lesson goes deeper: the tonal DNA of each key, which keys cloud a band mix, where a second guitar should capo instead.

He did it! Got his Black Belt 🖤 so so proud 🥹 by @bwrinn

One of our favorite songs to come out of the Sacred House Knoxville ONE DAY songwriting retreat!

This honest song is told from the perspective of the thief on the cross, but in so many ways, it’s all of our stories. Grateful for what God did in that room and excited you get to hear a taste.

I got his love, he got my stripes
He took my death, I took his life
I got his joy, he got my hurt
How did we both end up with something, we don’t deserve

If you know, you know how stoked I am.
I’ve wanted one of these for my own for the better part of a decade. *Built for the studio; and the builder is the most creative native Nashvillian builder there is.
YouTube & ChatGPT won’t be able to help ya out on this one. Gotta get in front of one like the good ol days. Move a little air, if you will…
