"community mural projects"

The Conversations with Alexx.
@thomas_sankaraofficiel

• Well, first of all, I got the mural idea from the fact that Thomas Isidore Sankara was a devoted revolutionary, a profound Pan-Africanist and a charismatic leader of Burkina Faso in his time.

So, with all that being said, I was personally touched and compelled by one of his quotes that says

" we must learn to live the African way. It's the only way to live in freedom and with dignity"

Reading this quote made me want my community.
To flip and live exactly as it said.
So boom, together we partnered with @zinunullartstudios immediately we created an inspirational mural.

• Personally, the idea uplifts me positively in the way that it teaches me individual independence or self-reliance, resilience and race awareness as an African man in a society where the majority have less but still inevitable competition with the minority class of the welloff and the so-called supreme race.

In a nutshell, because of the freedom and dignity that is in African ways of life, Thomas' ideas taught me to adore my African roots or ethnicity.

• I simply tell and encourage the next generation to love who they are and where they are from, no matter their race, background, ethnicity etc. Therefore, they should never see color before anything.

In conclusion, the next generation should be aware of the need to strongly reconnect or connect back to their originality or source of their races as way of knowing who they are because i believe if you know yourself you know your value none can wrongly use or play you.

Page is a well-conscious and established artist and, because of what inspires him, is committed to tell "OURSTORY" by polishing our urban ghetto with stories that make every street wisdom shine.
