Music4Media was a huge success.Our 4th edition and once again, we were totally oversubscribed.The energy in the room was incredible. Creatives, songwriters, producers, composers, music supervisors all locked in and eager to build. Long may it continue. 🙏🏾I can’t lie, when the fire alarm went off in the middle a presentation, I was gutted.But the calibre of people in that space turned it into a networking opportunity like no other. 😂 So yeah… I’ll be doing my fire warden training before the next one.Back upstairs, we got into a proper session. One of the highlights for me was having Tom Ford on the panel someone I worked with 10 years ago on my very first sync/placement, which ended up on Love & Hip Hop and aired in over 35 countries, from Germany to the Philippines. It’s real guys. This is what it’s all about.Real rooms. Real relationships. Real results.Black creators in the room. Full circle moments. Thank you to the amazing @livvyk for putting this together. Little things like this mean more than people realise. An emerging talent who truly goes the extra mile. Follow her! This whole year has been a blessing, meeting emerging creatives, supporting new voices, breaking down royalties, moderating panels, and helping the next generation sharpen their craft.And to Nicola, Andrea and Kwame - thank you for trusting me with your platform and allowing me to pour into the community. You three have built something that genuinely lifts people. Your conviction, your faith in grassroots talent, and the way you champion culture is rare. I’m grateful to play even a small part in it. It’s genuinely a pleasure to be part of the Recording Academy. Watching so many British acts get their flowers this year hit different because this is what the work is about. Considering, supporting and voting for peers who truly deserve it. Championing excellence, not noise.And now stepping into the GRAMMY U Mentorship Program feels like a natural extension of that mission. This isn’t just a title, it’s a chance to strengthen the bridge between the UK and the US, to open doors for young creatives, and to deepen the ties that matter across our wider music community.Helping the next generation understand publishing, culture, craft and business… that’s how we build stronger systems. That’s how we create real cross-border collaboration. And that’s how we make sure our scenes aren’t just celebrated in moments, but sustained over decades.Grateful, aligned, and ready to lock in. This year I made a conscious effort to get out there.To visit more cities, meet more people, and pour into the creative community.Over 10 panels. 3 writing camps. 4 or 5 conferences (who’s counting 😆).Cardiff, Belfast, Bristol, Brighton, Southampton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle…The miles have added up but so has the purpose. It takes absurd levels of planning but it’s always worth it.I’ve worked with some exceptional people and met insane levels of talent from grassroots creators right up to the top tier.We’ve sponsored award shows, backed writing camps, and stood beside platforms pushing the culture forward.Every moment has been about putting the creator first in the same way I put my Creator first.I don’t take it lightly, ya boy is knackered but in all things I give God thanks. Shoutout everyone who’s pushed through this year and made it this far. Be sure to give yourself some grace, and take some time to reflect on how far you have come. 🙌🏾🙏🏾To say Cre8ing Vision in Manchester was special is in understatement and London, we’re up next. 22nd November. I sit here writing this at home.Family intact.Wet nappies, yoghurt on the floorboards, The Twits on the TV, and a heart full of love.Life is humbling.Who knew that while I was hustling between U.S. tours, shows in Thailand, calling teaching agencies every morning saying “yes, I can make it in,” and questioning why I was paying employers’ national insurance, it would all somehow come together like this?I’m sadly reminded this week that life can change in an instant. None of us are promised tomorrow.But if we can somehow find a reason to smile, even through the madness, we’re doing alright.I’ve found my smile again.And as long as people are smiling just like the brilliant young people in this picture… I’m good.#Faith #Family #Gratitude #Perspective #Journey #KeepSmiling by @bxrber

It’s official! 💫 Truly honoured to announce that I’ve been appointed as an Ambassador for the PRS Members’ Fund 🙏🏾This one means a lot. The Fund quietly does incredible work, providing practical, emotional, and financial support for songwriters, composers and performers who’ve given so much to our culture.I’ve seen firsthand how vital that safety net can be. This is what it’s all about.#Music4Media was PACKED. We put the call out, and the response was overwhelming.
