Feels a bit surreal writing this 🖤

I’ve been lucky to have my work featured in lots of magazines over the years, but never a feature that really focused on the makeup look in this way, specifically looking at the makeup artistry.

Growing up queer, fashion magazines were everything. I think they were a safe space for many queer children creating an escape, a comfort, a place to feel seen. They certainly did that for me, I remember being obsessed with the fashion story pages and the beauty pages because they often showed products I wasnt able to use yet pre transition...Grazia was actually my first subscription as a young teen 🥹 so this really feels like a full circle moment for me.

I hope that if this can inspire even one younger trans or non-binary person to believe that there’s space for them in this industry, then that means everything. If I can do it, so can you.

✨️🌛Aimee Lou🌛✨️ A timeless red carpet look enhanced with a contemporary twist for the ever beautiful @aimeelouwood X 79th @bafta film awards last night.

◇ To create the beauty look I used @armanibeauty

Products used
Luminous Silk (Shade 3.75 & 4) remastered formulation - obsessed!
Luminous Silk perfect glow concealer (Shade 2 & 3.75)
Glow fusion face powder (Shade 2)
Eye Tint liquid eyeshadow (Shade 22m first - 44s for sparkle)
Smooth Silk Eye pencil (Shade Mid Brown)
Luminous Silk cheek Tint (Shades 50.5 & 62)
Luminous Silk acqua Highlighter (Shade 1 on face and eyelids)
Lip power long wear lipstick (Shade 400)

◇ For Aimees hair I used @ghdhair

Products used
Body goals volume foam with the ghd speed for a voluminous blow dry to give lift
Bodyguard heat protect
Between the Ghd max wand Ghd curve for dimension and a cool girl movement
Then styled the hair into the updoo
Finsihing off with the Ghd curve thin wand to give movement to some of the ends
Finish with the Shiny ever after shine spray because healthy hair should glow too!
