Tech rehearsal is where every element of a performance comes together. As our flagship NYC Jazz & Contemporary Summer Intensive: SPECTRUM prepares for its culminating performances, dancers move from the studio to the stage, working alongside lighting designers, stage managers, choreographers and production staff to refine spacing, timing, transitions, lighting cues, and every technical element that brings each work to life.

It’s the first opportunity for every moving piece of the production to come together, transforming weeks of rehearsal into a fully realized performance experience. While audiences see the final result, tech rehearsal is where precision, collaboration, and artistry meet behind the scenes.

Experience SPECTRUM tomorrow and witness the culmination of an unforgettable summer of creativity, versatility, and artistic growth.

Happy Freedom Day!!!

On this Juneteenth, I feel blessed to have recently met Kaela Ku @by.kaela who has directed and produced this creative process and helped bring to life the work I am creating in the world. I can’t wait to share these dream projects with the whole world. 🌎

Thank you to Paul, @gregkan, Ski, and @encaustic_cuni for your support. A very special thank you to the dancers @ingridsilva and @elias_re for making this happen!

I am also deeply grateful to Marco for our many years of friendship, and to @dancetheatreofharlem for sponsoring the space for our shooting day.

My hope is that this creation reaches as many hearts as possible. Becoming who I want to be, having the freedom to do what I truly love, and living a life aligned with my purpose have been among the greatest priorities of my life. Now, I feel ready to give back to the world and inspire others to find the freedom they need to become who they are meant to be.

Thank you all for being part of this journey. ❤️✨🌎 taken in Dance Theatre of Harlem by @by.kaela

Full circle moment… I can’t believe I had the privilege of doing a photoshoot with my amazing and talented friend @by.kaela after many many years of seeing her work all the way back from Cleveland, God allowed us to be in NYC and have this lovely time together. I am completely speechless on how the photos came out, I have such awesome creative friends!!!!

Week 34 - Crazy to see how the body changes, adapts, grow a whole human while I just get to enjoy. God is truly awesome. It is a privilege to grow a life inside of me - can’t wait, we are just a few more weeks before we get to meet a mini me… Que emoção!!! @elias_re taken in Manhattan, New York by @by.kaela
