Everyone’s out here hitting PRs & sub-75 finishes, but someone’s gotta hold it down for the 90+ minute girlies 🤣🤝This race was a little different for me. I had to check my ego at the Red Bull tunnel & remind myself that while I’m not the fastest in the room, I’m not the strongest in the room, but at least I’m IN the room - having fun, slaying the fit, and hyping up everyone around me!
I almost didn’t race this time around. Between an injury and surgery that took me out for most of the summer, my training was far from what I wanted it to be. And as someone who’s naturally competitive with herself, accepting that was probably harder than the race itself. Buttttt I’m learning to give myself a little more grace. Not every race needs to be a PR. Not every finish needs to be faster than the last. Sometimes the win is simply showing up, moving your body, and being grateful that you’re healthy enough to do something challenging.
So cheers to the average finish times, the humbling races, and the reminder that you don’t have to be the best at something to love doing it 💪🏽🩷
*in the Terminator voice* : I’LL BE BACK 😏
