New work, The Grand Tofu at @emporiummelbourne

Known for its authentic Malaysian and Chinese-influenced comfort food, The Grand Tofu brings together generous portions, great food and fast service.

Building on the concept we first created for their flagship store at Kingsway, Glen Waverley, we’ve brought the same design language to their new Emporium Melbourne location.

Inspired by the flora and fauna of Malaysia’s Taman Negara National Park, the space features bespoke illustrations by Adela, celebrating the richness of Malaysia’s natural landscape.

Try their signature Yong Tofu. A Malaysian comfort food favourite that needs little introduction.

i really enjoy the inking part of the blanket, initially wanted to make “the universe wraps me like a blanket” but after letting it dry i feel like it needs more warmth 🥺 wanted to make this a hot cocoa feel as we’re nearing christmass ☕️ not so much gouache here, i really like ink better hahaha

#peachtober26compass

compass means more adventuree! traveling is one of my favorite thing to do and the colors here are inspired by one of the most beautiful adventure film: walter mitty 🥹 hence the dirty paws song for the post (love ur songs @ofmonstersandmen !)

painting #peachtober26spell — finally got an excuse to unbox my gouachee 🥹 ngl it was a bit overwhelming to choose from 56 colors… still need a lot of practicing with gouache + ink combo but so far im having fun with experimenting the colors combo 🎨
