It’s something I didn’t think would bring me so much rest and an answer I didn’t know I had questions about, surrender brought me closure with my life decisions I’ve made in the past and also the things that I’m gonna do in the future. The Emotions of Surrender.
As I have grown closer to Christ, my faith has been tested and so have my emotions. Joy, sadness, frustration, fear, excitement, bravery, and even love. I learned that I must allow the Spirit of God to heal and operate in the most vulnerable parts of me. The emotions I don’t want to admit I possess. Don’t want to admit are real.

I wrote a poetry book that expresses these emotions more. I would love for you to read it.

When you surrender your life, you are no longer your own. You are a slave to what you surrender to. Think about that for a while…
We tend to see surrender as giving up but what if I told you it’s quite the opposite? What if I told you surrender is the beginning? What if I told you that when you give your life to Christ, that same surrender is no longer defined as defeat but victory?
