got a bit emo when I opened the email from @songmont_official :’)

I remember when I first moved to the city and would pull up to castings with my little $20 thrifted purse, next to girls carrying bags worth more than my rent

one of the bags I dreamed about owning one day was Songmont; I so rarely saw Eastern design treated as luxury here. such a full-circle moment 🤍

I’ve seen gua sha positioned as a tool for lymphatic drainage, but I wonder how much people would care about lymphatic drainage if it had no aesthetic effect; “de-puffing” seems like a less overt way to sell sculpting

nothing against modern gua sha tools and think they can be beautiful objects (I use mine on the regular :P), but I think this is part of a greater conversation on wellness practices being repurposed as a means to beautification

hot take but I spend the same amount of time class planning as making the playlist

I’ve been to so many Pilates classes and absolutely can tell/appreciate when there’s intention in the song choices, it’s such an underrated tool
