POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Greetings, I am Ariel "birdfoot" Brown.
Pleased to make your acquaintance🤝🏾.

I am a spirit expressionist: a filmmaker, photographer, producer, and writer based in Atlanta, GA.

As a filmmaker, my work expands documentary, narrative short film, music video, non-profit video, video podcast, and experimental film, often in the editing realm.

My photography is steeped in storytelling, live events, portraiture, and the abstract.

Fantasy, folklore, history, and Afro-spiritualism are at the core of my writing, exploring the liminal realms of worlds both known and invented. My work is rooted in ancestral knocks and memories, the Earth and its care, and imagining otherwise - - - beyond what we have come to understand.

My photo work has been featured in:
🔹Atlanta Center for Photography's New
South Volume II
🔹MINT Gallery
🔹Voyage ATL
🔹Shoutout ATL

I am excited to connect with more artists and create beautiful work. Explore more of my work on my website and connect with me through my email, both of which can be found in my bio.

Let's create magic together!✨📸🎞️

Ariel Brown Editor Reel🎬

I've had the pleasure of working on some beautiful projects that have stregthened my storytelling and opened the way for me to craft my own projects.

This reel showcases some of my work as a director, editor, and colorist, and is ever evolving.

I love to rummage through mountains of footage and seek out the best story possible. It is a seemingly monotonous mode of creating that has brought me wonders.

Reach out via the email in my bio to collaborate and cut nourishing stories together.

And check out the work of the directors and artists tagged that are featured in this reel!

Why I Love to Shoot in Black & White🌫✨

The contrast brings out something underneath and inbetween • acts as a portal to what the naked eye cannot see • dresses the present in a seated past hovering over what is captured and demanding a face 🌹
