the whole #citieswithouthouses NA team was blessed to get together in detroit for a special membersgiving ✨ we took over @standbydetroit and created a luscious abundant family-style buffet on the bar with our faaaave @nichehitch (I mean!!!!!!), as well as small dried bouquet place cards. members received @sohohome and skin goodies on the way out. it was a night of gratitude!

All these full moons lately got me in my feels 🌕 For the full moon on Oct 5th, we joined @wowsugi in hosting a Tsukimi (Moon Viewing) at @kreegermuseum in Washington, D.C. for our @sohohouse #citieswithouthouses community 🖤 we truly dove in. @spaghettisoy was gracious enough to curate the menu. the Koto Society in DC welcomed members into the museum to explore the galleries, @haikuists read me for filth (“a curated life from the careful taming of the insatiable”), and Naoco led us in a sound bath ritual as the harvest moon rose high in the sky. One for the books!

Let’s get into it! Our Egyptian retreat (October 2027) is an all-inclusive experience: eight days of drifting, sipping, and surrendering on the Nile. But it all starts in one of the most magical places I’ve always wanted to visit, with two nights at the Al Moudira Hotel in Luxor. In 2001, the fabulous founder Zeina was inspired to create a paradise in the desert complete with over 1500 antiques from around the country, hand-painted frescos on the walls, a delicious restaurant, and beautiful pool with private pavilions. There are terraces and courtyards and rooftops galore — one in which we’ll be experiencing in our welcome martini and caviar hour before sitting down for a three course family style meal to settle in and get to know each other. A dream!!

P.S. We heard you on the deposit total — if you want to break up the deposit ($2k-ish) into more payments, send me a DM and we can see how to make it work ;). We basically need the 1st half in order for the boat to be booked, and the last half can be paid in *mannyyy* installments (call us your personal Klarna). This trip is going to be so special!
