Kicking off NYFW, @bvlgari introduced its first-ever public artwork in the United States: auruBOROS, Urban Memory and Collective Dream by @plastique.fantastique. The commission began with 2x4’s strategy to bring Serpenti Infinito into the public realm, using contemporary art as a way to connect one of Bvlgari’s most enduring icons with the city. Winding in and around the High Line, the installation is a monumental golden structure that is part sculpture, part architectural anomaly. We led strategy and creative direction across the project, developing the concept with the Berlin duo @yena_young and @marcocanevacci at their studio in Germany and the installation site in New York.

auruBOROS is now on view through September 20th.

Reintroducing Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. As part of 2x4’s ongoing partnership with @qatarmuseums and longtime collaborators @morcoskey, we developed a new brand strategy, positioning, and visual identity for the museum, marking its fifteenth anniversary. The identity takes inspiration from the scaffolding-like curtain that has defined the museum’s facade since its opening. The design system builds its own kind of scaffolding as the dynamic logotype expands and contracts to form a modular framework which can house its breadth of activity, from a single exhibition to a season’s program.

Prada Mode landed in New York with a takeover of the Hotel Chelsea, Katz’s Delicatessen, and @prada's Broadway store. The installation explored the connection between @nwrefn and @hideo_kojima, spanning multiple languages, cultures, and spaces across a city-wide takeover. 2x4's identity for the event evoked nostalgic science fiction codes, extended across everything from taxi cabs, a custom wrap of the New York Times, projections on landmarks like the Guggenheim, to custom Prada vending machines that dispensed bespoke gifts.

During Art Basel Paris, Miu Miu presented 30 Blizzards, a major work conceived by artist Helen Marten in close collaboration with theatre and opera director Fabio Cherstich (@fabio_cherstich), with sound and music by Beatrice Dillon and animation by Adam Sinclair. We worked with our longtime partners at Miu Miu and Helen Marten to develop the visual identity, publications, advertising, and environmental design for the piece.

A central focus of the identity was capturing the narrative, story-driven nature of the exhibition, crafting a classical serif logo with a subtle, unexpected twist, and designing a guide that unfolds with the pacing and structure of a novel, all featuring the artist’s signature diagrams.

Coinciding with Frieze London, Prada Mode London features The Audience - an immersive installation by @elmgreenanddragsetstudio. A sculptural environment in the form of a cinema, it is a meditation on spectatorship in an era of visual overload and hyperconnectivity. The identity developed by #2x4Design for the event mirrored the blurred image viewers witnessed on screen, abstracting boundaries and turnings the focus inward. @prada #PradaMode

Organized by @aspenartmuseum, AIR is the artist-first global summit designed to create a cultural ecosystem re-focused on the vital work of artists examining the critical issues of our time.

#2x4Design created the brand strategy, visual identity and inaugural magazine for the annual event, which took place in August. The visual identity takes inspiration Aspen’s history as an (off)center of design and culture innovation, and the International Design Conference that began in 1951.

@ossou, a women’s ready-to-wear brand with a singular vision: to elevate the foundation of a modern wardrobe.

#2x4design worked with the phenomenal team behind @fforme to shape the strategy, name, and identity of their new brand. Ossou takes its name from the Latin word for bone—the quiet structure beneath everything. The visual identity takes inspiration from the raw presence of Western landscapes, and the dynamic interplay of tradition and modernity. Credits below:

Prada Mode Abu Dhabi, #2x4design's ongoing collaboration with @prada, curated by the renowned multidisciplinary artist @theastergates. A reaffirmation of the minimal and analogue amidst the contemporary cultural dominance of technology and AI, the space exhibited a manifestation of duality, rooted in ideas of elegant austerity, historic craft, and sacred immediacy. Our design took inspiration from the tones of the desert and natural materials used throughout the event.
