10 countries. 12 months. 1 realization.

I spent 2025 running. I thought chasing new horizons would fix the feeling of falling behind in my 20s. Turns out, you take yourself with you wherever you go.

Travel alone didn’t fix my problems. It just forced me to look them in the eye.

The full story of my year isn’t just about the places I went, but what I learned from it and why I finally stopped running and started building.

This has truly been an eventful year that felt like I lived 3 different chapters. From Graduating Collage, to traveling the world, to coming back home to a new place and figuring things out. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had this year and am excited for where 2026 will take me.

Much love,
Brennen

The Endless Summer. Vol ā™¾ļø

In June of this year I graduated college. A 5 year journey came to an end and with everything I ever knew, now behind me I set out to find something new. Something different. This formed in the plan of an Endless Summer.

Originally this was supposed to be a one month trip to reset. An opportunity to travel the world with some of my best friends from my time abroad. The initial trip was eventually extended to 2 months and then to 3 months yet again later in August.

What started as a simple trip to knock out a few bucket list items and hang out for awhile turned into so much more. For the first time, throughout parts of this trip I traveled alone. It was scary at first I’m not gonna lie. It was the first time I felt like no one could save me if something happened. It was stressful and relieving at the same time. Like my whole life depended on my next move. Turns out that’s a good thing when you view it with the right lense.

Anyways, there were points in time I felt alone (because I was) and that forced me to adapt, take direction, and take charge of my own situation. It forced me to put myself out there a little more. And an amazing thing happens when you just start to say yes… but that’s a story for another time.

As much as I hate to admit, this trip was not all fun at times. Despite how it may look like anything there are ups and downs. There were a few moments I found myself in some minorly life threatening situations (don’t tell my mom 🤫). But believe it or not those are good to.
They give you a lot of perspective of what really matters in life.

To some it all up if you’ve made it this far (I’m assuming you went to go through all the slides) all of this would have felt so much less special if it weren’t for all the people, all the memories, and all the help and chats about life along the way. And yea, I know that’s a cliche to say but I mean that’s probably how it became a cliche in the first place right…

On September 17th, I finally landed back in the states 86 days later concluding the Endless Summer.

This is a short reflection on that time…

Much love,

The dust and initial high of being here has officially settled which has left me with a lot to think about. Spent the last 2 weeks saying yes to everything and meeting as many people as I could but starting to wonder what the point of it all is if they never go anywhere. And maybe it’s just the way I’ve been going about it.

Which brings me back to the question…
ā€œWhy am I really here?ā€

I came to NYC for one reason and it was for the potential that it held. The idea that on any given day, you could step out the front door, meet someone new and change your whole life forever. That idea brings so much potential, but at the end of the day it’s still a choice. You still have to choose to step out that door.

So… what are you gonna do about it? taken in New York City by @bybrennen

What a crazy week…

The second week in NYC has been absolutely insane. So much has happened, so much depth and discovery i’m still kinda processing everything.

Met so many people, had so many conversations, had a few insanely rich ones that led to some things I wasn’t expecting.

Not really sure how all this is gonna play out but if I’ve learned anything this week it’s that a lot can happen when you open up to the world…

Storefront’s from my walk yesterday…

I moved to NYC on September 18th, 2026. And although I’ll be living here for the next year, my goal is to maximize my time here and take advantage of everything the city has to offer.

To do that I’ve been thinking about my days here with this one question. ā€œIf I were traveling here… what would I do next?ā€

Travel has taught me a lot over the last few years. And one of the most important is you could be in the most beautiful, exciting, or famous place in the world but if all you never step outside you will never get the chance to actually experience what it’s like to be there.

New York isn’t special because of the city. It’s special because of the endless possibilities it has and the people in it. But you only get to experience that when you start to engage with it.

So…

ā€œIf I only had a week here. What would I do next?ā€
