Cover art for the Austin TX based rippers @thesadtattoos who now have a new track out, hit their profile to give it a spin. The band is led by my longtime bestie and band mate @colbyfjames and it brings me a lot of joy to have the opportunity to create art for my friends projects. Hire your friends! 🤝 😊 The art is inspired by watching the many Herons in the James River on my runs along it. More bits of this project soon! #workbycentralstandard #blueherons #coverart #illustration #abstractart by @bycentralstandard
Congratulations to @frenchfilmtx on teaming up with @solidbrassrecs to release their forthcoming coming LP which I had the pleasure of designing with them. Thanks for the opportunity and the trust y’all! ❤️ Here I hand drew all the type and scanned it and then wrangled it digitally, definitely a tedious process but the result is something that feels authentic to their music and the image selection and art direction they provided. It was a great process working with Ash on all the design! Flip through to see a bit of the design and how many times I wrote ‘French film’ before I arrived at ‘the one’ 😂 Backstory: Colby is one of my best friends and with whom I have played music with off and on for 15 years and I’ve known Drake for basically as long and played shows together with his earlier bands many many years ago so it’s a great full circle moment to play a small part in this next chapter of their musical paths! Cheers to y’all. #albumart #graphicdesign #vinylrecordart #shoegaze #austintexas by @bycentralstandard
Thrilled to share my poster for the upcoming @steve.okonski euro dates! This was such a fun project to work on. His record ‘Entrance Music’ of last year on @coleminerecords is one of my absolute favorites, a true treasure and will always remind me of my time living in Asheville. ❤️ One of my favorite memories of Asheville will always be sitting in the garden at @leos_houseofthirst with what felt like everyone I knew in town, drinking amazing wine and watching Steve play. Buy his records and grab a ticket to these shows before they sell out! 😊 #workbycentralstandard #posterdesign #gigposter #illustration #graphicdesign by @bycentralstandard

New art for my friends in VA @7thgradegirlfight who have a great new single out now called ‘Sea Captain’, this scene expands upon the art I created for their previous single (on next slide) to include a world beyond the homes. Where will the next scene take us? 🧐 Thanks for the opportunity y’all ❤️ . . . #albumart #illustration #graphicdesign #musicart #coverart by @bycentralstandard
Some recent brand marks for the good folks at @redmesafilmco who are a Texas based film company. Their work is rooted in place, driven by people and created with intention. The inspiration for the brand imagery was that of the West Texas landscape and its natural color palette. My goal here was to create a series of minimal and modern brand marks which visually tie to this landscape through an abstraction of the land forms. I love how these turned, we explored a variety of different illustrations and ultimately landed on these as being the strongest and most visually striking. . . . #branding #visualidentitydesign #typography #minimalillustration #logodesign by @bycentralstandard
Pleased to share the full packaging design for the new @barican_flat3 and @mirror_jpn2007 split 7” being released by @say_hello_to_never_recordings , thanks for having me on board, truly an honor! ❤️ I’m always amazed and inspired by the way that music and art can connect people across vast spaces and through the years. I met both Mirror and Daisuke (say hello recs) in 2013 on my first trip to Japan and have very fortunately been able to stay friends and continue to be in each others lives in a meaningful way through music and art. I have a very vivid memory of sitting and watching Mirror’s entire soundcheck at Rips in Hachioji in 2015. I felt fully that I was watching the best performance I had ever seen. If you live in Japan don’t miss out on this one! ☝️ available next month, limited to 300 copies. 🔥 by @bycentralstandard

Congratulations to our clients @southerleigh_fine_food on their 2025 @michelinguide distinction. 🔥 The team at Southerleigh has consistently been setting a high standard for innovative cuisine as well as impeccable service and hospitality for going on 10+ years now. Without a doubt one of the best dining experiences one can have in Texas. It’s been inspiring to witness their journey and an honor to visually steward their brand over the many years. 👏 Onward! . . . #workbycentralstandard #texashospitality #satxfoodie #hospitalitybranding #restaurantbranding #michelinguide #texasfoodie #thepearlbrewery #sanantonio by @bycentralstandard
From Design 👉 Sign. It’s always great to see how designs look once fabricated into physical signage or printed pieces. This is a bit of the branding I created for @balconeslandco who have a new large acreage ranch development in beautiful Wimberley Texas, Sites Ranch. This metal fabricated sign hangs at the gated entry. Always great to work them on the visual identity for their beautiful Texas hill country land developments. Sites Ranch is a historic property which was operated by the Sites family as a cattle ranch for over 100 years, the original land being purchased in 1879. Now being thoughtfully preserved as 7 smaller ranch developments. . . . #sitesranch #wimberleyrealestate #texas #ranchlife #luxuryranch #realestatebranding #logodesigner #branding #visualidentity #ranchbrand #wimberleymarketdays #texashillcountry by @bycentralstandard
Almost a year ago we made a trip to see all the lighthouses in North Carolina, it was an incredible adventure and a wonderful way to see every bit of the beautiful coast here. So a year late… Here’s an illustration of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the northern most light on the outer banks, completed in 1875. . . . #illustration #travelillustration #lighthousesofinstagram #currituckbeachlighthouse #outerbanks #northcarolina #graphicillustration #corolla by @bycentralstandard
