Downton Abbey was one of those shows I watched, rewatched, and studied… from poring over the script to learning the theme on the piano. It still informs my writing to this day.

So here I am, living out my Downton dream at Highclere Castle and in the Cotswolds. Twenty seconds of a world that I’ve spent years studying. 🏰🌾🤍

Ohhh and I met the amazingly warm charming and funny @bonhughbon too, or should I say, Lord Grantham at the literary festival 🤩 (see story!!!)
I told him how his first line from the first episode—“Every mountain is unclimbable until someone climbs it. So every ship is unsinkable until it sinks.”—inspired a Post-it on my laptop right now: “Every deadline seems unmeetable until I meet it.”
He laughed and laughed, called it clever, and told me to keep at it with a “Very well done.”

PSLs are back and Halloween decorations are up. Guess it’s time for a lil “summer of dance” recap from what was probably one of the toughest seasons of my life.
Putting music back into a body that hadn’t danced in a decade and starting over wasn’t easy, but it was worth every single drop of sweat (and every tear lol). Hey, you don’t get to dance on the Jumbotron at @cryptocomarena every day!!!
Summer’s over but the dancing isn’t. I need the constant reminder that mistakes are allowed, and that real improvement—in dance, in character, and in life—takes patience.

Trying to tag all the artists, teachers, and choreographers who brought me back to life this summer (hoping I didn’t miss anyone!!):

@gingerknitter @nickgilligan @manuelaworld @therealmarque @feelitfirst_ @kkjans @abianneoliver2 @sircthatsme @ronylove @innis_rp @amber.belair_ @jamaledem @jjoizoi @daytontdance @stevencainer @nadjie14 @skylerhostetler @mrhamiltonevans @nialonette

Oh and all the new friends I made 🥹, the list will honestly be way too long, but I appreciate you all so much ♥️.

I don’t know why I picked this song, but I guess my subconscious was telling me: when the music starts, “you don’t have to worry about a single thing.”

This belongs on my actual grid, I think… The fiiiirst terrifying solo. Pushed by @gingerknitter but so, so appreciated. “Cypress, I see you sitting on the ground you’d better be ready” was still echoing in my head watching this back 🥹🤣

From picking dance back up in May to now, it’s been the one place I could put everything I didn’t know what to do with. So… thank you, music. Thank you, hip hop.

Yayyyy another classic dinner table pic for my very #finedining heavy gram?💁🏻‍♀️ Strongly recommend #michelinrestaurant @vetricucinalv! Every bite was sensational!!! Easily the best elevated #italianfood we’ve had in a long time and it’s on the 56th floor so you get a side of killer view of the strip too. The drink is a #negroni, my new favorite🥃.

K. I’ll stop talking about the always fun and exciting #lasvegas #nightlife and go back to being the typing machine hermit that I am in the stupid LA rain lol taken in Vetri Cucina LV by @bycypress
