“Don’t Need Savin’” Yarn on pilleay canvas So excited to start sharin some new work. Thinking about words and church. All the things I have to say. More to come! #fiberart #chattanoogaartist by @byegracehaley
“Tennessee Mountain Home” Yarn and fiber on latch hook canvas 2026 The full Monty. ~100 hours give or take. Made out of devotion to the beautiful landscape I call home. As I drive through the valley I read all the road signs and grapple with my love for the South. Let this tapestry serve as a reclamation of the radical messaging that lines every ridgeside. This is my home too. Come and get some. He ain’t here yet. She will return (Dolly oh my Dolly). If you want to hear more about the process and inspiration behind this beast come to my artist talk on the 26th at @townsend_atelier. Starts at 2. Have to give the absolute biggest most humble and grateful shoutout to @kandyglopez. I had never touched this technique before taking a class with Kandy at the beginning of the summer at @shakeragworkshops. She pretty much adopted me as a wayward postbacc mentee and gave me unbridled confidence to attempt something this large on my first go. She is incredibly talented and that workshop truly changed the entire game plan for my first show. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many incredible artists who believe in me. Go check out her work it’s INSANE. Thank you Kandy🌷🌷🌷 First photo is by @rkyflicks and the rest are by beautiful Viviana @death.tide. So so so lucky to have these talented people in my life who helped me document such a special moment. This is the way I see the world, the foothills, the valley. This is my home 🌈 by @byegracehaley

The best gift god ever gave me was making me queer. Ain’t no way the love I’ve loved is a sin. 🌈🌈🌈 “Ain’t No Sin” Yarn on pilleay canvas 2026 #fiberart by @byegracehaley
WIP for this next little guy. Inspired by all the evil doin folks that tout their religion around like it’s gonna save them at the pearly gates. It’s also a love letter to Appalachian bottle trees. I found out bottle trees originated in Kongo as a means to capture evil spirits. Legend says the bottles were smashed once the sun rose. Brought over to the states through slavery and eventually made its way inland to scare off haints. In these parts bottles are typically placed on crepe Myrtles, which show up in the Old Testament as a promise of the redemption of homeland to the Hebrews. I’ve been thinking a lot about the redemption of these lands too recently. I start these pieces digitally with a cross stitch pattern design program. Then I load up my needles and start weaving. It’s a lot of counting squares…. Feeling really excited about how easy this new series is coming together. The ideas are just jumpin out of my brain! Thanks for reading. Be nice to someone today, the big one in the sky is always watching…. #fiberart #bottletree by @byegracehaley
So stoked to be back in the studio after a crazy month. First solo under my belt and I’m working SMALL now. The joys of finishing things in a day. Yarn buying ban until I go through some of my stash so I’m super excited about all these colors. Best believe that god knows all yer sins and if you ain’t washed it all away in the creek yet you best get to it before the water runs too cold. Happy it’s fall and my vampirical nature matches my surroundings. #boom by @byegracehaley
