ETRNA. by Iamê Ribeiro explores the legacy of Brazil’s military dictatorship through the lens of fashion, drawing inspiration from the Tropicalista movement and the enduring influence of Rita Lee. Using transparent lambskin, bleached denim, and experimental construction techniques, the collection examines resistance, identity, and the relationship between the body and societal confrontation. Tattooed leather becomes a second skin, while metal-stapled seams introduce a sense of tension and resilience, balancing vulnerability with protection. Through contemporary fashion design, ETRNA. asks how individuality and self-expression can serve as acts of rebellion in today’s political and cultural landscape.

ETRNA. examines Brazil’s 90s dictatorship through fashion, honoring the radical role visual art and music played as tools of resistance. Inspired by the Tropicalista movement and guided by singer Rita Lee as a muse, rebellion is translated into silhouette, surface, and skin where expression becomes both armor and exposure. This collection reimagines how these artists might confront today’s political and cultural tensions, inscribing defiance onto the body as an intimate and permanent act of protest. by @byiame
