On June 30th, on our 13th anniversary, under a strawberry moon, in the city of New York, my sweet one and I were wed. We spent the evening before at the Hotel Chelsea, where we took a bath in their big tub, poured some champagne, and walked around looking at the art in our bathrobes.The day of, we woke up early so Maggie could have her hair and makeup styled and so that I could try and finish some last minute photo editing work.Our sisters, Emerald and Bridget, came to the hotel to help out and bear witness. The whole event was recorded by my dear friend and excellent photographer Brin Hanson. At the marriage bureau we had an amazing and expressive officiant in Deborah, who ushered us into a quiet room and asked Maggie and me to swear our lives to each other. We exchanged rings and, in an Irish tradition, tied a knot to symbolize our bonds.I've worn my wedding ring every day since and am delighted at how light it feels on my finger, as if it was always meant to stay there, close at hand, connected to my heart, a joy to behold. by @byjadegreene

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph inside The Hollywood Reporter's cocktail party celebrating their list of the most powerful people in media. Hosted by Daniel Boulud at his eponymous restaurant, I was equally as excited to sample the cheese suggested by the fromager as I was to see some of the most iconic figures in media. Guests included Sean Evans (who my friend excitedly called 'Hot Wing!'), Jennifer Welch, and Stephen Colbert. Colbert was celebrated in particular as the late night host airs his final episode of The Late Show *tonight!* after a decade at the helm. The landscape of media has changed dramatically in the last ten years, with the shift towards non traditional methods of getting your voice and face out there. News anchors rubbed elbows with podcasters and Instagram stars and media executives. Who's to say that next year's list won't include twitch streamers and substack writers and beyond?Thank you @koscarlett for the call and @theledecompany for helping me when I didn't remember people's names by @byjadegreene
