how can i ever explain this feeling? letting go of one dream so I can chase another :’-) it’s funny how growing up looks a lot like choosing which dream to follow and where that takes you 🫂 this year i moved from la to new york and i had dreamed of living in both cities since i was young ❤️‍🩹 i left behind my best friends but i know the memories will always stay with me :’-)

i designed postcards for my moving away party as little keepsakes to remember a bittersweet goodbye and the start of a new chapter :’-) now i have them hung in my room with words from my favorite people and i got to write everyone a card in return <3 forever holding LA close to my heart!!!! ❤️‍🩹 ily

learning that the love you give, the people you share that love with, and the memories you make with them will always be in your heart, even if it’s temporary!!!! <3

Love is a Verb ⭐ AH 335 Theories of Modernism (final)

Love is a common aspect of life that often, its presence becomes apparent only in its absence. After my dads passing this September, I aimed to create a zine that would highlight how we, as people, show love in every aspect of life— friendship, loss, and relationships.

The creation of this zine and collage piece aims to encapsulate the essence of love and its embodiment as a proactive gesture. It explores how individuals, including parents, friends, and significant others, express love through tangible actions such as gift-giving, handwritten notes, and small gestures that brighten someone’s day. This zine seeks to chronicle the profound impact that love exerts on those in our immediate circles.

Inspired by Jennifer Graves’s “Love is a Verb” letterpress piece. Love is everywhere, we just have to internalize how we act upon it. by @bykaile
