We’re back in Berlin tomorrow, and this time, the doors are wide open, thanks to @entretropicosberlin , who gave us full creative freedom over the @r100_projectspace

Lolab is a space created BY Latin entrepreneurs, FOR everyone, Europeans, Latinos, the curious, all are welcome. We support the bold ones who dared to build something far from home, and we want to share it with you, no matter where you’re from.

LoLab es un espacio creado POR emprendedores latinos, PARA todos, europeos, latinos, curiosos, todos son bienvenidos. Aquí apoyamos a esos emprendedores valientes que se atrevieron a construir algo lejos de casa, y queremos compartirlo contigo, sin importar de dónde vengas.

✨ De Lolab a su propia exposición: la historia de Fernando✨

Fernando llegó a París para estar cerca de su hija, y en 2025 empezó a participar en los eventos de Lolab. Desde el primer día nos sorprendió con su talento: creó una instalación imponente inspirada en piezas coloniales indígenas, mostrando la profundidad de su mirada como pintor.

Meses después nos volvió a regalar su arte en el evento de Velitas 2025, guiando a los más pequeños en un taller de faroles lleno de color y magia.

Hoy celebramos con inmenso orgullo su **primera exposición individual en París: “Tránsitos”** 🎨🇫🇷

**Tránsitos** nace de la experiencia de Fernando como artista colombiano y migrante en esta ciudad. A través de pinturas e intervenciones sobre mapas de París, construye escenas de personajes, encuentros y situaciones vividas en su cotidianidad, abordando temas como la migración, la identidad, la memoria, el trabajo y las nuevas formas de habitar una ciudad lejos del lugar de origen.

La escritura también tiene un lugar central en las obras: palabras, frases y fragmentos de poetas, escritores y músicos dialogan con las imágenes y los personajes representados.

Así, Tránsitos es también un homenaje a los migrantes: a sus recorridos, sus dificultades, sus recuerdos, sus sueños y a las nuevas vidas que van construyendo.

Fernando est arrivé à Paris pour être proche de sa fille, et en 2025, il a commencé à participer aux événements de Lolab. Dès le premier jour, il nous a surpris par son talent : il a créé une installation impressionnante inspirée des pièces coloniales indigènes, révélant la profondeur de son regard de peintre.

Quelques mois plus tard, il nous a de nouveau offert son art lors de l’événement Velitas 2025, en guidant les plus petits dans un atelier de lanternes plein de couleu by @byl0lab

Tiny Shrines: Create Your Own
First Edition 🪷🕯️🪔 with @byl0lab at @cafe.neukoelln

Very happy to announce the first workshop of the Light-Up Workshop Series!

As winter approaches in Berlin and the days get shorter, we get ready for that time of year when we slow down, spend more time indoors, and connect with light in new ways 🕯️🌱

For this special first edition, we’ll work with ready-made papier-mâché shrines and focus on sanding, painting and decorating them with your own colors and details.

You can bring an idea, a little drawing or some references, or just come and start painting from zero. We’ll decorate it and give the shrine your own style.

A 1-day Decoration Workshop:

One month ago (Monday August 10th) Colombia 🇨🇴 felt the force of the earth once again. And even across distance, our connection to our people remains. 🖤

As artists, cultural workers, and community, we come together to turn solidarity into action and send donations to those still rebuilding their lives. Because needs don’t disappear when the shaking stops: many families will continue to need support for months to come.

Hace un mes, Colombia volvió a sentir la fuerza de la tierra. Y aunque la distancia nos separe, el vínculo con nuestra gente permanece. 🖤

Como artistas, gestores y comunidad cultural, nos reunimos para transformar la solidaridad en acción y enviar donaciones a quienes hoy siguen reconstruyendo sus vidas. Porque las necesidades no terminan cuando pasa el temblor: muchas familias seguirán necesitando apoyo durante meses.

TIENDITA LOLAB — First Edition 🥘🍲

Tiendita Lolab is a space to discover Latin gastronomy in Berlin, each edition, we invite a different Berlin-based cook to take over the kitchen at Café Neukölln and share their flavors.

For this first edition, we’re joined by Jason de @cruzfood.catering 🇨🇴

🍲 Dish of the day: Ajiaco (vegetarian and chicken options) 🍌 Patacón pisao 🥟 Empanadas

And there’s more than food 😉 the day also brings two workshops 👇

✍️ Non-Creative Poetry — with @abelacrata Abel Perdido A workshop where participants learn to use everyday objects and tools through non-creative poetry techniques, developing writing exercises that grow into complete works.

🕯️ Create Your Tiny Shrine — with @avant.rosi Rosario Diaz Create your own tiny shrine using papier-mâché, color, and decorative details. We’ll transform a small ready-made structure into a personal object made to hold a candle, a little sanctuary to decorate your space and bring a warm glow into your home, just in time for Berlin’s darker months.

🤝🇨🇴💪 We’ll also be collecting donations to support the rebuilding of Pereira, Colombia, one of the cities affected by the recent earthquake.

Food is memory, identity, and a way of bringing people together — and on August 1st, Latin America was on the table. 🌎✨

Behind the bar, drinks flowed, conversations started, and strangers became part of the same celebration. 🍹

From arepas to empanadas, every bite carried a different story, connecting traditions from across our region with a new home in Berlin.

And, of course, none of it would have been possible without the people who cooked, served, shared, and gathered around the table.

At LOLAB x EntreTrópicos, we celebrated Latin America beyond clichés: diverse, creative, diasporic, and delicious.

Here’s to the flavors, the hands, the encounters, and everyone who made that day taste like home. ❤️ by @byl0lab
