🚨 Warning: long (but important) post!!Filling in my eyebrows everyday can be really exhausting… some might have never known, but I have struggled with trichotillomania since I was in 10th grade! (As a makeup artist this is extremely difficult and causes lots of insecurity with putting my face in front of a camera!) That’s ultimately why I got into cosmetics and beauty - I know what it feels like to not like the way you look and if I can help someone feel better in their own skin then I want to do everything I can! 💕💄Trichotillomania (TTM or trich) is known and described as follows: “hair-pulling disorder or compulsive hair pulling. Efforts to stop pulling hair typically fail. Hair removal may occur anywhere; however, the head and around the eyes are most common. The hair pulling is to such a degree that it results in distress and can cause visible hair loss.”Everyone struggles with something and for me, this happens to be one of my things!! This can be caused by anxiety and OCD and can fluctuate in severity based on my surroundings and circumstances! I do it without knowing just like some people bounce their leg, bite their nails, and twirl their hair! It’s so crazy!! 🤯I wanted to share this not just to showcase the amazing miracles @alexis_murphycosmetictattoo can do, but to share that even though social media might reflect someone who has it all together, there are still real life struggles (I just happen to be really good at using an eyebrow pencil! HA!) 🤭🤣I feel so much more confident in my own skin and am thankful for fun opportunities like this! That’s why we do what we do in the beauty industry - the goal is to make everyone feel like the best version of themselves.
