POSTS STORIES REELS

We were thrilled to welcome author Michael Gayle, also known as Magic Mike, to our upper primary classes! He captivated the students with a reading from his book Krumpp’s First Taste, bringing the story to life. Inspired by his words, the children had the opportunity to draw one of his characters, sparking their creativity. Thank you, Magic Mike, for inspiring the next generation of readers and artists!

Thank you for having me back @muskokachautauqua @muskokalakespl ! by @bymagicmike

Part of my New Year’s resolution was to fix my deep ineptitude for reminiscing. I’ve always been exceptionally poor at it–I suppose I wasn’t born with the Owl’s neck like most, and so here I am, knocking at the doors of self-improvement once again. This time with a tale.

This year’s spring was my best spring. Spent frolicking through Canada’s enchanted West Coast, my eyes and nostrils were filled brim-high with the sights and scents elusive to us out East.

Some feasts of mountains, and crags, and waters (not to forget the hoodoos), nourished my soul, and my eyes have shone twice as bright ever since.

My favourite part from my month-long province-trotting, though, was sharing my stories with hundreds of students throughout my various stops across British Columbia and Alberta. A Tour.

This particular carousel is from leg one of three (each deserving of their own, dedicated recaps, of course), probably the most whirl-windy of the lot spanning Vancouver & Victoria. 5 days, 5 schools and an impromptu meet-and-greet. I must have slept for an hour or three each night. And I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

In fact, I plan on it.

More to come ❤️ by @bymagicmike
