Thank you so much to @mymliterature for hosting such a wonderful event, and to @skalibooks for being the role model I always longed for. 🤍

sometimes i get so caught up in my fictitious worlds that i forget who gave me the ability to create in the first place. <3

I want my writing to be a means of drawing closer to Allah, not something that takes time away from Him.

May Allah put barakah in our time, and the things we create. Ameeeen. 🤍

Save this as a reminder for the next time you struggle to put your work down and pray to the One who gave you that work. 🌻

behind every good writer is an even better support system <3

Alhamdullah, i am forever grateful to my family and friends for their unconditional support during my writing journey🥹

they may not always understand what i’m doing (i fear, i don’t either) but they’re always eager to learn with me which is the ultimate blessing, Alhamdullah. 🫶🏻

What’s a specific moment that made YOU love being visibly Muslim ? Drop it in the comments 👇🏻

It’s moments like these where i feel Allah’s presence the most—like a best friend who is always looking out for you🤍

May Allah make hijab easy on my Muslim sisters and I, and continue to grant us all beautiful moments like these that remind us of His love & mercy ✨

LinkedIn is all LIES!!!

Allah says in Surah Ya-Sin, “It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night outrun the day. Each is travelling in an orbit of their own” (Quran, 36:40)

The job search, the resume comparison, and constant flow of other people’s achievements and milestones can make you feel like you’re falling behind…but you’re not.

Remember this: you are simply on an orbit of your own, moving at the pace God created specifically for YOU.

Your career journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Your timeline doesn’t have to match theirs. And know that you can never fall behind when you trust God’s plan for you. :))

As autumn approaches, and the leaves begin to change, i’m reflecting on all the ways i’ve grown since last fall. 🍁

For starters, i’m beginning to embrace this new version of myself that no longer takes “you’re too sensitive” as a provocation or a cause for embarrassment.

I’ve learned since then that In islam, being sensitive is not deemed as a weakness nor flaw. Allah never (never) berated Muhammad ﷺ for having a soft heart.

Why?

Because being sensitive and having a soft heart is a mercy from Allah. 🤍
