3 Days of Design in Copenhagen—the studio that truly hit different was Nuora Residency by Charlotte Taylor.

“Home from Home” wasn’t just an exhibition—it was an experience. One that made me rethink what it means to create spaces that are truly lived-in, and it reminded me why the “art of mess” can be so much more meaningful than the polished, picture-perfect surfaces we see everywhere.

Charlotte Taylor’s “Home from Home” at Nuora Residency during 3 Days of Design was everything I didn’t know I needed. Imagine stepping into a space that’s alive, messy, chaotic, totally real—and somehow also unbelievably beautiful. From unmade beds to breakfast leftovers, this wasn’t just design, it was life. The exhibition completely shook up the typical scandi-perfect vibes of picture-perfect showrooms, and honestly? I couldn’t get enough of it.

Over 60 designers and brands played a part—names like Sheyang Le, Kasper Kyster, Grace Prince, and Mo Tong—each contribution seamlessly layered into a narrative that felt human. A dining table hiding a chess set, wine glasses nestled in stones, chairs positioned as if someone had been living there for weeks—every detail made it feel intimate, alive, real. It was a home, not a showroom.

And what hit me most? The beauty of the mess. The unpolished, authentic, lived-in chaos that makes a home feel like home. In a world obsessed with “picture-perfect”, this exhibition reminded me that real life—messy, cluttered, authentic—is far more compelling than perfection ever could be. It left a massive impact on my own design style—messy can be magic. And Charlotte Taylor nailed it.

Totally inspiring, totally real, totally Charlotte. taken in Copenhagen, Denmark by @bymi______

With this project, my design heart was completely stolen by @andtradition. Their furniture is the perfect blend of minimalism, nature, and just the right pop of color—exactly the vibe I’m drawn to in my own designs. 🫧

The inspiration for this project came straight from my visit to their showroom in Copenhagen, and trust me, there’s a whole story behind it! This visit had been on my wish list for ages, and when I finally made it there, it did not disappoint. Even though we didn’t book in advance, we were welcomed with open arms. A quick but insightful tour gave me a deeper appreciation for &Tradition’s heritage, philosophy, and attention to detail.

One of the highlights? 🪭
Learning about their strong commitment to sustainability. The lovely woman at the showroom shared how they use responsibly sourced materials and collaborate with ethical suppliers. Plus, their focus on durability means these stunning pieces aren’t just stylish—they’re built to last for years (and years!) to come.

She also walked us through some of &Tradition’s most iconic designs—like the elegant Petra Armchair by Viggo Boesen, the playful Flowerpot Pendant by Verner Panton, and the beautifully textured Formakami Lamp by Jaime Hayon. These timeless designs have earned their place as must-haves for collectors and design lovers around the world.

Seeing their pieces up close, running my hands over the textures, and immersing myself in the atmosphere sparked a whole new level of inspiration. This visit was a beautiful reminder of why I love design—where craftsmanship meets storytelling, with a touch of magic. 🌶️ taken in Copenhagen, Dennmark by @bymi______

Aurora Mountain Retreat

//concept development, interior design, rendering

Aurora Mountain Retreat is designed for people who want to get away from it all. For those who want to spend time in nature and engage in outdoor activities. It is designed for people suffering from post-covid symptoms, and people worried about their mental health. It provides a welcoming environment where people can relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Aurora Mountain Retreat, Rendered Elevation

//concept development, interior design, rendering

 brand-new, innovative retreat located in a lush green sanctuary surrounded by Slovenia’s tallest mountains. A tranquil nature resort for those who enjoy nature, travel, sports, or anybody looking to disconnect from the outside world and spend time in nature.

My aim was to design an interior experience in the form of Mountain House Cabin, that informs and inspires designers, architects as well as nature lovers.

Work for: Sisi, house of style🧡

Who doesn’t know Sisi and her iconic coffee mugs?

I had so much fun bringing them to life in this little product photoshoot! I played around with bold, contrasting colors—rich oranges and deep browns—to make the design stand out and give the whole setup a warm, eye-catching vibe. There’s something about this color combo that just makes everything feel extra cool. 🫡 taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @bymi______

Work for: Kult Interier & Rex Kralj

/graphic design, visual identity

Designing a Christmas party invitation for Kult Interier x Rex Kralj, where timeless design meets refined elegance.

I wanted to capture the essence of both brands in a single composition—featuring the iconic B&B Italia Up Limited Edition armchair as the focal point, paired with the distinctive Rex Kralj Mosquito Chair pattern as a subtle background element.

The goal was to create a sophisticated and seamless blend of these two design icons while keeping the overall aesthetic clean, modern, and impactful. taken in Ljubljana, Slovenia by @bymi______

Model: Nadja Okorn (@nadjaokorn)
Creative director & Stylist: Katarina Vidmar (@katarinavidmar), Iza Magajna @iza.magajna)

As the stylist for Etis Living’s Spring/Summer 2024 photoshoot, I spearheaded the concept developing, ensuring the vision aligned seamlessly with the brand’s identity. I crafted a detailed concept inspired by seasonal renewal, focusing on light, pastel tones and organic textures to evoke freshness and elegance.

Through moodboarding, I provided a clear guide for the team, shaping the project’s visual tone and thematic direction. I also curated and styled the photoshoot setup, selecting furniture, decor, and accessories that complemented the narrative of modern, airy sophistication.

By collaborating with photographers and models, I ensured that every element came together to create a cohesive and visually captivating representation of Etis Living’s essence. by @bymi______
