September always feels like a bit of a reset for me. New season, new projects, and no less than 100 new ideas I want to try 🍂

I’ve been collecting a few content ideas in my notes app that I thought would be fun to share, especially for anyone working in design, production, social or just trying to bring a little more creativity into their working life.

From some fall colour palettes and moodboards to rainy office days and its content, there are so many ways to bring the season into your content without making everything about pumpkin spice 😅

Turns out “juggling it all” is a bit of an art form 😅

Between agency life, production, design, freelance work and attempting to have an actual life somewhere in there… a balanced lifestyle is rarely as perfectly balanced as it looks.

I’m learning that it’s less about giving 100% to everything, all at once, and more about knowing what needs your attention in that moment and adapting through the ebbs and flows.

Lately, I’ve been having these little moments where I look back at my social media and see the fun trips I’ve taken ✨ or look through the portfolio of work I’ve created ✨ or get praise at work for something I’ve accomplished ✨

And I realize that so many of the moments I was so stressed about at the time ended up teaching me something valuable.

Maybe balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly — maybe it’s just learning how to keep adapting, enjoy the good stuff when it comes, and give yourself a little credit for everything you’re managing along the way. ⚖️🤍 by @bymizzmarr

Summer might not be over quite yet, but fall is around the corner and I’m already thinking about cold-weather weddings ❄️

Last winter, I got to create some of the wedding details for this day at @elora_mill and this project came with a very fun first for me: designing for an actual martini pouring ice sculpture 🧊

It’s on the list of one of the coolest (literally, sorry) things I’ve gotten to design for a wedding.

From the signage to the smaller details, I loved getting to create pieces that felt like they belonged in the space and added a little more personality to an already beautiful day.

Turns out I have a whole archive of wedding work I’ve been sitting on… so consider this my excuse to finally start sharing some of it 👀 by @bymizzmarr

The pace you’re at is the right pace! ✨🫶🏼

It’s hard not to get caught up in multiple looming client deadlines, especially in an agency setting.

It’s even harder when you’re burnt out! 😅

So don’t add the stress of feeling behind on top of that, it’s unproductive. Taking time for yourself reminds you of all the things you’ve BEEN accomplishing recently, allows creativity to breathe - sparking fresh ideas for clients, and brings you back to the reason you started all of this.

A little sneak peak of last weekends wedding designs! 👀✨

When I pitch wedding concepts, there’s always at least 1 that’s a bit outside the box. It’s normally a combination of upcoming chic design trends with what I think would match the couples vision.

This concept direction is rarely chosen out of fear for trying something too creative for a wedding. Very understandable, and it’s the main reason why I never pitch a concept I’m not super proud of.

BUT

I was VERY excited when this couple (my best friends) chose to trust my vision, keeping an open and creative mind throughout!!!! Eeeeee

I’m ✨beyond✨ happy with how all the assets turned out and can’t wait to share more about how it all came together.
