Now, we originally marked this as a spoiler because Amber and I were worried y’all might assume this is depicting the end of The Cruelest Mercy - so I’m happy to reassure you here that it’s NOT, it’s what these two characters would wear at any point during the book. And Tiara knocked it out of the freaking park.

Surprise!! I finally got my act together enough to set an Actual Date for this book's release, and what better day for this eerie premise to be reborn in the world than Oct 13?? That's only 6 weeks away 😌

Y'all are like "who is N. K. Traver" - this book is an updated version of my true debut, first published in 2015. The pen name is based on my late grandpa's surname, as he'd always wanted to be an author but never got around to it. There are more reasons why I switched to my true name for The Kinder Poison, but I wanted to preserve that first pen name not only as a nod to Grandpa, but because this book is SO different from my fantasy works.

Since I JUST pulled the trigger on this, it might not show up for you yet on all retailers, but they're coming. I've confirmed it's available for preorder now on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Indiebound/Bookshop/local indies.

Hello my friends! I promise I'm still alive, just very, very buried. But one of the fun side projects I'd really like to see through to the finish is THIS fun chaos book that is actually my true debut novel, pubbed long ago when the world was young in 2015, though it would quickly go out of print 1.5 years later, as I'm quite sure my publisher forgot it existed. But I love it, and I have the publishing rights back, and the wonderful thing about being alive in this day and age is that I still have avenues by which I may bring it to you.

This is a completely revised and updated edition of that story with a new title (to be revealed), though it will still be published under my old pen name 😌 I don't have an official release date yet, but right now I'd love to secure 2-4 reliable beta readers to help me catch any final issues before we go to print. Summary in comments!

Wishing the most amazing book bdays to these incredible ladies who have been in my life now for 12 YEARS. Lori, Chelsea, and I met way back before we had any books out - before we even had *agents* - and when I tell you that you need some ride-or-die writing besties in your life, I mean it. These women have been through the highs and the lows with me and are honestly much of the reason why, when pandemics strike and publishers go quiet and books remain on sub for over a year, I am able to keep going.
