Where all tests truly begin.

there’s something beautiful about people who could run ahead, but choose to help others get there.

21.1 kilometres.

somewhere along the way, “can I do this?” became “how do I finish?”

Many times I wanted to stop.

Finish line still felt far away,
and I was running out of reasons to keep going.

The smile at the end was my consolation.

And yet God sent help,

It can come in all shapes and sizes but it’s up to us to recognise when it does.

To my one, thank you for your words of encouragement & for reminding me not to quit even when I wanted to give up.

oh & for reminding me that pain truly is temporary.

working towards something greater than you will always be worthwhile 🩵

the medal marked the distance but it showed me how I really couldn’t have got there end on my own.

it’s something i’m still learning & i’ll trust God to show me the way.

Ireland is so beautiful btw, in the midst of my pain, I took in some great views by the canal.

I’ve always had a strong desire for growth but that comes from my intrinsic love for learning.

Since I was young I’ve always asked questions, enquired & been stubborn enough to never accept anything at surface level,

Because there truly is always more than meets the eye.

I wonder, when did we stray off the path of being so childlike in that regard?

Asking not just “What if I Do?” but potentially “What if I Don’t”

And daring to try it anyway without the fear of failure.

I desire to never settle for the confines we’ve set in our minds but to continually break past any ceiling that we’ve placed.

For me it was opinions and the fear of what could be said if I got it “wrong”

I’ve thrown that in the bin 🗑️, make I get it wrong a hundred times in fact,

that one time might be the breakthrough,

And if it’s not, we’ll continue nevertheless.

Because the joy has never really been the result but the pursuit of the result.

We’ve known where we stood regardless of the outcome, we just wanted to push ourselves along the way. by @byobinna

you just aren’t good enough.

the words echoed over the course of my life and the lives of many others, irrespective of background.

whether it was a loud cry or the silent whispers in the mind,

it stayed & over time,
it grew louder,
and louder,
and louder.

But as people who have set themselves on heights far above,

it’s hard to settle for anything less.

growing up in Ireland, you pushed for more time and time again.

you continued persistently, trying to find a space,

The space,

where we could express ourselves at the highest level.

But it felt inevitable you would at some point,

hit a dead end.

Inevitable, the title of Dr.Aghogho’s charge at the Achievers conference this year,

one that reminded me and many others that as long as you keep banging at the doors of success,

it will eventually open itself onto you.

Thank you for never ever quitting.

Thank you & AWA for creating the space that many had been searching for so long.

Thank you for being my big sis & relighting my fire again🧡

In a generation where greatness has many definitions I find my mine in servitude.

If you know me you’ll know that growth is always the agenda of a conversation 😅 and I’ve come to understand that the strive to be great sometimes can find its source in a faulty foundation.

Same way no man is an island, you can’t be great on your own,

No matter how hard you may try.

And if it’s truly genuine greatness, you probably won’t be the one who benefits most from it.

Love God & Love His People 🤍

If I begin to write, I could stay here all day in regard to His faithfulness.

What a year & what a life. I hear time and time again that life truly is simple; we just overcomplicate it.

Couldn’t agree more.

Breath in my lungs.
