I’ve never really shared my work here before, but here’s a little glimpse into my journey as a fashion stylist. 🤍I started out as a Fashion Stylist Assistant, and, thankfully, I eventually reached a point where people started reaching out to me and requesting to work with me directly. The very first time I was booked as a stylist, it was for a big and well known band and honestly, I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy and proud of how far I had come, especially knowing where I started.I’m still at the beginning of my journey, but I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity, every person who believed in me, and every step that brought me here. ✨For styling inquiries and work opportunities, feel free to DM me. 🤍 by @byritaessam

This collection is inspired by the traditional Egyptian fallaha galabeya, a garment that holds a special place in my heart. As someone originally from Minya, I have always felt deeply connected to my heritage and have been saddened to see many people view it as outdated or unsophisticated.Rather than recreating the galabeya exactly, I wanted to reinterpret it through haute couture. I focused on its most recognizable elements, particularly the wide V-shaped cut that separates the neckline from the body and the ruffled hems often found on traditional designs. My choice of velvet was intentional, as it is one of the most common fabrics worn by rural Egyptian women during weddings and celebrations. The lace pattern also carries a personal meaning. Its shapes remind me of the agricultural fields of Upper Egypt, while the lace itself was inspired by a galabeya my grandmother used to wear. In many ways, she became one of the main inspirations behind this collection.Through this collection, I wanted to celebrate my roots and show that heritage is not something to be hidden, but something that can be reimagined, elevated, and proudly showcased through fashion. by @byritaessam

Fashion design men final projectI was always drawn to the details of cathedral façades and vaulted ceilings, and the way every symbol carries meaning beyond what the eye first sees. To me, architecture has never been separate from fashion everything influences everything. When I explored the Gothic era deeper, I found myself inspired by its strong connection between faith, structure, and symbolism. That led me to the military jackets of the same period structured, powerful, and full of identity. The Fleur-de-lis became my main motif. Beyond its beauty, it carries a deep symbolic meaning connected to the Holy Trinity, which reflects the spiritual foundation of the church. I placed it along the button line as a subtle narrative almost like a hidden path of meaning that guides the eye vertically, just like how belief is “held together” through structure and detail. For the sleeves, I used the façade of a Gothic church because for me, the sleeves became the movement of the architecture itself. The main visual identity of the jacket lives there, almost like the building coming alive on the body. by @byritaessam

The Beauty of Un PerfectionThis dress was born from a memory. A rug I once saw in an art gallery quiet, powerful, and imperfect. When the theme kilim was announced, I didn't think of patterns or techniques. I thought of feeling. Of a rug that wasn't meant to be perfect, yet felt complete.I unraveled the fabric by hand, thread by thread, allowing it to fall, move, and breathe. The frayed edges are intentional because perfection felt too silent for this story. Here, imperfection becomes the beauty. Loose threads become movement. What was once grounded now flows with the body.Dr @dramanyibrahim by @byritaessam

Three years ago, I was amazed by how beautiful Cairo Design Week was. A year later, they launched the second edition, and I decided to attend. I was so happy just being there as a regular visitor, and I told myself, “One day, I hope my work gets showcased here.” It was truly a dream.Alhamdulillah, God’s plans are always so much greater than ours. I was sitting in a lecture like any normal day when my instructor walked in and told me, “Close your dress quickly, we’re taking it to Cairo Design Week.”I couldn’t believe it I honestly thought they meant something else.I’m so happy and grateful that I got to participate, and even more grateful that it was with the university.Trust God… and leave everything in His hands. by @byritaessam
