Vlog 001: “Oh, the Places You’ll Go”

Come with me to Springfield, Mass. I was there shooting an unhoused advocacy campaign with @axiombluemarketing and @axiomblue, but after work I got to be a tourist.

I ran through the city, visited the Dr. Seuss Museum, the fine art museum and the Basketball Hall of Fame. I took full advantage of the gym at @marriottbonvoy, had wine on a vineyard, explored with my Meta glasses and enjoyed every moment of it.

“20. and odd negroes”, 2026
Fiber art
40 × 14 in. (framed)
Crocheted cotton, archival mounting, museum glass, custom bamboo frame.

Referencing David Hammons’ African-American Flag (1990), I crocheted cotton fiber and framed it in bamboo, materials historically tied to slavery and forced labor. The name draws from the description of the first documented Africans brought to America in 1619 and questions the evolution from “negro” to Black American identity today. by @byron.linnell
