In no particular order.. our weekly roundup! …Mainly puppy and doggy spam, some flowers, food and wine! Happy weekend lovely people!
It looks to be a rainy one here sadly but on the bright side it means I can catch up with the ironing and faffing with tidying cupboards plus a pantry clear out! Ohhhh and I nearly forgot to mention ..preparation for the builder and carpenter who are coming next week to finalise our larder and hallway plans! The excitement is real! 😊

Coming towards the end of this little adventure, I’ve been flicking back through my phone at some of the moments from each stop along the way 🤎

Chamonix was our first stop, and I really loved it here — surrounded by the mountains, but still with that lovely hustle and bustle of the town. The best of both really 🏔️✨

And I think the surprise favourite had to be the strawberry mojito 🍓🍹 I’m not even a huge mojito fan, but this one… OMG. I practically inhaled it 😂

Definitely going to try and recreate it as one of our Christmas cocktails this year, so watch this space 🤭🎄

A little 4-night adventure across the pond… and what a brilliant few days it was 🇺🇸🤎

Washington DC & Baltimore — definitely a whirlwind trip, but such a good one ✈️

We booked our flights using one of our BA Amex companion vouchers. We both have the black card, so between us we earn two companion vouchers a year — which means two opportunities for BA adventures like this one! 🤭✈️ I then booked the rest through my own travel booking portal, so there’s also a little payday waiting for me when I get home… I’ll never get tired of that bit! 😂

DC involved A LOT of walking. My biggest advice… wear comfy shoes! 👟 Everything looks close on the map and technically it is… but somehow everything is also much further away than you think 😂 We walked and walked and walked!

One of my biggest surprises was the White House 🇺🇸 I’d imagined it feeling so much bigger and grander in real life, but it actually felt quite small — and with all the security around it, you don’t get quite the view of it I’d pictured either. Still one of those “we’re actually here!” moments though.

But the highlight of the whole trip? There was really only ever going to be one… 🏉💚💛

Watching the Springboks take on the All Blacks at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore 🇿🇦

We had fabulous seats, great hospitality, the atmosphere was incredible… AND THE BOKKES WON!! 💚💛🇿🇦 Honestly, what a day. One of those memories we’ll be talking about for a very long time.

Four nights, two cities, far too many steps, lots of laughs and one very happy pair of Springbok supporters 🥰

When you picture South Africa… is this what comes to mind? 🇿🇦🍷

Because safari might be what gets you here, but it’s days like this that make you fall in love with the country.

A slow Sunday @babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands — wandering through the gardens, stopping for a beautiful lunch, tasting local wines and spending the afternoon with absolutely no reason to rush anywhere.

And this is exactly why I love planning South Africa.

You can wake up to elephants on safari one morning, and a few days later be sitting on a beautiful wine estate, glass in hand, looking out towards the mountains. It’s that contrast that makes a trip here feel so special.

Babylonstoren is one of those places I could happily spend the entire day. A historic Cape Dutch farm surrounded by vineyards and mountains, with gorgeous gardens, incredible food and wine, and so many little corners to discover. It feels considered and special, but never overly polished — the kind of luxury that’s really about having the time to enjoy where you are. 🍷🌿

And just like that… we’re onto South Africa 🇿🇦🤎

Starting with a little wander around Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront — colourful, lively and with those gorgeous mountain views never too far away ✨

We love just taking our time here… wandering around, stopping for a drink, watching the boats come and go and soaking up that Cape Town atmosphere ⚓️🥂 It’s one of those places we never seem to tire of.

It feels even nicer sharing these memories knowing we’ll be back again in February 🤎 I think this will be our 12th visit… which probably says it all really! No matter how many times we go, there’s always something that makes us want to come back 🇿🇦✨

South Africa has become such a special place for us over the years, with so many memories wrapped up in each visit. And somehow, we’re still just as excited to go back as we were the first time 🥰

So for now, I’ll keep sharing a few of our favourite moments from this trip… while quietly counting down the months until we get to do it all over again 🤎✈️

Whilst planning the final details for next year’s trip, I thought it was probably time I shared a few throwbacks from this year’s adventure… seeing as I never actually got around to finishing posting them! 🙈

So, here goes! I’m planning a post every day this week, and then normal home “stuff” can resume! 😂

As a lot of you know, I’m an Independent Luxury Travel Advisor, which means I book all of my own travel through my own portals, building relationships directly with my suppliers along the way.

And although I love planning all kinds of luxury and bespoke travel, my absolute favourite will always be an African safari or expedition. 🦁🌍 There’s just something incredibly special about Africa, and I absolutely love researching, planning and putting together those unforgettable safari holidays and adventures.

And although I love planning all kinds of travel, my absolute favourite will always be a safari or some form of expedition in Africa. 🌍🤎

First up… Sandwich Harbour, Namibia — where the desert meets the ocean! 🌊🏜️

Quite possibly one of the most exhilarating (and slightly terrifying 😅) drives we’ve ever done! Huge dunes on one side, the Atlantic Ocean on the other and, at times, VERY little room in between! 🚙💨

With shifting sands, seriously steep dune drops and the incoming tide to contend with, this is definitely one drive best left to the experts… but WOW, what an experience! One we certainly won’t forget in a hurry. 🤎
