“Life is too short to live for anything else.” 5 Minutes with Model Nika Sogo

In this edition of our 5 Minutes with Model series, the Cape Town-based model reflects on curiosity, conscious living, the importance of stillness, and learning to trust her own inner voice. Captured by Zack van der Merwe, the images feel as effortless and honest as the thoughts she shares with us on #cheadsmagazine

In the morning, when everything is still quiet, the sun slowly rises above the horizon, and silence still rests over the rooftops, the married couple Zack van der Merwe and Tahnee van der Merwe took the camera in their hands and captured the beauty of the morning light.

“This shoot was all about freedom, flow, and femininity captured in the serene waters of Mallorca. We shot with a powerful, graceful woman in the ocean and on a surfboard, letting the natural elements lead the mood. Sunlight, salt, and stillness came together to tell a story of strength and surrender.”
