catching you up to speed! by @c.aaattt

on december 19th, 2009, we picked up my maggie and brought her home. i held her in my arms the whole way. instantly, she became my everything. she was my best friend, my confidant, my favorite cuddle buddy. the largest piece of my heart. my family and i fell in love hard, and she loved us right back. i hardly have any clear memories that precede her. she was there for every big change, every milestone, every era.

on december 18th, 2025, on the eve of her “gotcha day”, i held her one final time as we said goodbye. 16 full, beautiful years, and while i feel so lucky to have gotten that long, it still feels unfairly short.

these are just some of the photos and videos that never fail to put a smile on my face. she was the light of our lives.
