Congratulations to @c.alvarez__ on being named Wrestler of the Year at the North Jersey High School Sports Awards.
Cristian was a key part of our success all season, coming through with big points when they mattered most. He finished his senior year by winning the 285-pound NJSIAA State Championship and put together one of the best heavyweight seasons in the state.

St. Joe's-Montvale's Cristian Alvarez is a double state champ in his senior season - now he's ready to continue his two-sport career with the North Carolina Tar Heels!

Alvarez won NJ's heavyweight title in Atlantic City in March after winning a state football state title at MetLife Stadium in December.

He's set to play football for Bill Belichik and wrestle in the winter for the Tar Heels. by @c.alvarez__
