Montana Elk Hunt - Part 1
The final stretch before @coleman_bridger and I arrive back in GF.

Packing up 10 days worth of meals. It’s amazing how good freeze dried meals are these days.

Final meal preps

This is what 1 days worth of food looks like for us. We each build our own daily meals out adding our own preferred dinners and snacks to eat throughout the day.

Showing up at the mountain and Mother Nature welcoming us back to Montana!

Not a bad view to be walking into.

Watching the mountain disappear behind us on our way in to the Montana Wilderness.

On a sunny day, we could glass up the truck from a few miles away, just to make sure she was still there😉

Bridger getting his first true Montana mountain experience. Something neither of us will forget.

Glassing up our first basin. It’s big country in there.

Locating bugling bulls for a morning hunt.

Packing out to relocate into the bottom of a drainage. We knew there were a few bulls in the bottom, and potential pack out from the bottom seemed like a better decision .

Ran into this guy from NC on the way out.

Bridger has mountain goat legs. I do not.

Double Thor’s Hammers on the kettle.
There’s a significant difference in the quality of meat you can source from your local butcher vs a large commercial grocery store. I’ll gladly spend a few extra bucks to feed my family.
Quality over quantity.

Our 14th year enjoying @fulloflifefoods and it has yet to disappoint! Everything on the menu is always so well thought out and perfectly balanced. This spinach lasagna with heirloom tomato was exceptional!
