Today, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, I'm reminded that our nation's greatest strength has always been its people. Diversity is not a weakness—it is one of the reasons this country exists and continues to grow. People from different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and experiences have all contributed to building the United States into what it is today.

Throughout our history, we've experienced moments of incredible progress and moments that challenged our ideals. Under every administration, there have been decisions that people celebrate and others that many believe fall short of the constitutional principles our nation was founded upon. A healthy republic depends on citizens who remain engaged, hold leaders accountable, and continue striving to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed to all.

Even with our differences and imperfections, I believe America remains one of the greatest countries in the world. We are still a young nation with tremendous potential. Our Constitution stands as one of the most influential governing documents ever written, and its promise of liberty, justice, and the rights of the people continues to inspire generations.

The future of this country depends on what we do today. If we invest in our youth, teach them integrity, encourage critical thinking, and lead by example, America can continue becoming a stronger and more united nation.

I also thank Prophet Noble Drew Ali for teaching the importance of nationality, self-respect, and taking pride in one's heritage. Those lessons have strengthened my appreciation for my identity while deepening my love for America and my belief that people of every background can contribute to this nation's future.

Above all, I thank Allah for blessing me to be born in America. I am grateful for the opportunities this country has given me, and I carry a deep sense of patriotism and hope for its future. May we continue working together to build an America that lives up to its highest ideals—for ourselves, for our children, and for generations to come.

Happy 250th Anniversary, America.

Getting around to some framing. The Southeast Iowa Art and Book Fair is on August 16 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.

I will be selling and displaying all original artwork only. Here are some of the pieces I’ve been working on. I’m looking forward seeing you all there.
