Throwback Thursday! Staircases!
To one of my favourite staircases from a project about a decade ago. It is so important that stairs are comfortable and easy to ascend.
And should be exalting to address and draw one's eye upward. They should also be a lightwell in to the centre of the home.

Radical Textiles at Art Gallery of SA is highly recommended. Turns out - Tapestries & Needlework generally are an artistic vehicle of highly charged political issues and the "Feminist Agenda" in particular, from way on way back when...
A huge highlight was seeing pieces my step-sister Lucia Pichler participated in creating;
The Womens Suffrage Centenary Tapestries, 1994. They've been in Parliament House for 30 years, now on loan the the AGSA for the exhibition.
Another HUGE highlight was Edward Burne Jones The Adoration of the Magi executed by the William Morris "Workshop". Apparently it took "four people two years" to do. By "four people" I think they meant the finest artisans of tapestry available at the time, BUT they were women! So.... "four people". Different times.
Anyhoo - Ed would've done important pointing at Renaissance paintings titled "The Adoration ... " and of course Bill OWNED the workshop - so there's always that. So while Ed & Bill were wafting about pointing and banning machinery (boo) the gals were doing virtuoso work; they rendered blue and gold SILK DAMASK in the medium of TAPESTRY, and it SHIMMERED and GLOWED like silk damask! That is like doing a painting within a painting!
So give yourself a treat and feast your eyes on Radical Textiles at the AGSA! by @c.gustav.buring

Guess who's back? Yes he's back. Out of hibernation Larry the Lizard is back. Teddy wants to make friends but Larry is not here to socialise. (And yes I might do something about the Louis Chairs later in 2025). taken in Goodwood, South Australia by @c.gustav.buring
