10 pm Isaias Update: While still a category 2, the winds have increased to 105 mph and the NHC does not forecast the storm to peak Friday morning as a major hurricane, category 3 with winds of 115 mph. It should begin weakening as it approaches the coast of Lower Alabama and NW Florida, but because of the fast forward speed, there may not be a great deal of time for wind shear to dramatically weaken the storm prior to landfall. Aside from some coastal flooding due to storm surge, primarily east of the Mouth of the River, eastern St. Bernard, and the MS coast, most everyone inland should only see brisk winds with an isolated passing shower, if much at all. Less humid air should begin moving in later Friday and through the weekend! - Chris by @c.j.franklin

4 PM UPDATE: #Hurricane Isaias now has winds of 100 mph and is a category 2. The track has shifted a bit more east again with a landfall in NW FL late Friday night. Deep warm water should allow for some strengthening overnight before wind shear increases enough to begin weakening the storm before landfall Friday. How much it strengthens and how much it then weakens remains somewhat uncertain. Isaias is now moving NE and a turn more north should happen Friday. Conditions locally should be fairly quiet. Winds gusting to 20-40 mph and coastal flooding from storm surge, but rain chances are very low at 30% and accumulation totals look less than .25" at most! Friday won't be a bad day with northern winds likely decreasing humidity and even drier air for the weekend. Our weekend looks gorgeous! - Chris by @c.j.franklin

10 pm Update: Winds are up, pressure is down. Isaias is nearly a hurricane with winds of 70 mph. There is change in track or intensity. The center lines remains over extreme NW FL with landfall late Friday night. Peak strength with be as a strong category 2 with winds of 110 mph, but some weakening should occur before landfall. Question will be how much weakening will occur. - Chris by @c.j.franklin
