🌎 Pachamama 🌍 💫Of the many lives I have lived on this planet,
the most meaningful is this one~ ✨where radical acceptance and love✨
🧿can transcend time, space, and generations of pain.🌌 🍃Where healing is not only personal,
but something I offer forward~
in hopes of contributing to something greater.🏘️ 🪡The weavings are mine.
🧶the fabric, a mixture of deadstock.
🏮the lanterns, made by my children,
lighting the way forward, along with all children. 🦅As the eagle passes above,
🌋as the condor returns to land beside it,
🌊as the water and the trees continue to speak,
🍃let us listen to the land.🏝️ 🌎To love this planet🌍
💞To love humanity, even in the face of inhumanity in this current timeline.⏳ 📸 @shotbybasi 💫 @carlosmvergarajr #planetatierra #madrededios #agradecidocondios #everydayearthday #hijadelatierra by @c.lopez.prado
🌎There is a war happening. I crafted this flag in the summer of 2025 when @casitaprado was part of @washingtonparkmediacenter & @mcts + @matteblack.shop Life as the Runway as part of 43rd & Vliet Event Series. I created this piece as a question. A challenge. A refusal. A prayer. 🕊️ 📌I’m not a geopolitical expert. I’m an artist. A designer. A mother. As such, I question power. I question violence. I question systems that treat human lives as expendable. ☮️Peace is complex and layered. But the destruction of innocent lives is not peace. War for profit is not peace. Genocide is not peace. I create to bring awareness. To invite reflection. 📌We have power in how we gather and mobilize. In how we care for one another. In how we raise our children. In how we choose humanity over fear & hatred. 📣Now more than ever, we need community. We need courage. We need each other. That’s why I continue to create ✨ Through @casitaprado 🔄 Through community events. 🔄 Through gatherings like our upcoming @internationalwomensday_global event. 💜 🏡If I can help build even one space where children and caregivers feel safe, seen, and held, that is resistance. That is healing.💫 🤲🏽That is my offering in these unprecedented times.🕊️ 🌏I choose humanity. Always.🌌 #ww3 #humanity #peopleoverprofit #casitaprado #nowar by @c.lopez.prado

@c.lopez.prado @charlesallisartmuseum Grief wasn’t the only thing we inherited. This piece stopped me in my tracks. Seeing a photograph of my brother woven into an installation with so many other loved ones felt like being reminded that loss doesn’t erase a person’s place in our story. We carry them differently now. In photographs. In stories. In the things we create. In the parts of ourselves they helped shape. Christina Lopez-Prado’s Inherited Threads: In Transit holds all of that beautifully, suspended inside an elevator, moving between floors, between memories, between what was and what remains. If you haven’t experienced it yet, go sit with it for a while. At Charles Allis Art Museum through November 22 during museum open hours. And keep an eye out for a couple more activations coming soon. feat. works by @johnfleissner by @c.lopez.prado
