Hi! I’m C.M. Kramer—aspiring author, actual stay at home mom, and recovering perfectionist. Over the last decade, I completely burnt myself out in the legal industry as a bona fide attorney. Now, as I’m working on writing a novel, I’m taking steps to build a career on my terms: balancing mental health with creativity with raising a toddler. It’s a mess, but life can be like that some times! If you’re also a recovering high achiever, looking for your community, come along! Join me as I avoid burnout and practice moderate discipline in writing, motherhood, and life. Word counts don’t exist here; neither do arbitrary deadlines or expectations. Instead, let me give you permission to meet yourself where you are; to rest in reason and move in passion. After all, the best tool in the writer’s tool belt is grace for self and others—let’s cultivate some together. 🤍 by @c.m.kramer

Pregnancy made me feel things I’d never felt before. It was deeply exhausting and boring, which left my brain free to script some of the wildest bangers I’ve ever put on the phone screen. I think it was just the wild influx of feminine energy. That life building buzz really got me thinking. Poetry is so subjective, but I like to think these count for something—even a little something. #pregnancy #write #fishsticks by @c.m.kramer
Don’t worry: he’s legitimately excited to be a Space Ma’am. by @c.m.kramer
Does anyone need an illustrated guide to anatomy or a biochemistry textbook from 1998? But for real, I stand by having my own home library of reference materials. Self sufficiency and all that. I just don’t know if the *urgency* was quite it. I wonder what happened in 2024 that made me worry about my future access to unbiased information? 🤔🤔🤔 #bannedbooks #homelibraryinspiration #selfsufficient by @c.m.kramer
A lot of people talk about how they lose their marbles during pregnancy, but I recently realized that I documented my insanity so well during pregnancy that it would be a shame to not share some evidence now, 3 years out. Not only was I the strangest I’ve ever been when I was pregnant, but I was also the funniest. I was a giant, goofy, goddess of fertility. I’m really proud of this weirdo. Motherhood is hard and pregnancy is hard, but it can also be silly. by @c.m.kramer
My third @dfwcon Second as a member of @dfw_writers First year on committee. I love weekend-long English class. I love my writing community. I love meeting new people and dressing up and talking to agents and learning new things and seeing familiar and beautiful faces. I love how exhausted I feel. It was good. by @c.m.kramer

I’m really working on my elevator pitch, okay? That’s why I never shut up in real life about writing a book. I gotta smooth out this explanation, because currently?
