This 1962 Lancia Appia Vignale Convertibile was one of the last convertibles built. Picked up in late December 1962 at the factory by an American owner, it spent its early life on the island of Tenerife. It came to the U.S. in 1977 and was barely used.

It is an exceedingly original car with 22k miles from new (and with 7k added by yours truly during the last 16 years I have owned it). We don’t use it that much anymore but I absolutely love the understated Michelotti design and exemplary Lancia handling of this car.

Shown here with the factory hardtop fitted which transforms the convertible into a quite stylish little coupe. by @mbaum01

The Villaggio 1000 Miglia at Piazza della Vittoria in Brescia. We arrived for the ceremonia de punzonatura, the symbolic lead-sealing ceremony after scrutineering. And we might have had a glass of wine or a few 🍷🍷🍷🇮🇹❤️ by @mbaum01

I cannot believe it but it is time to get ready for the 2027 @millemigliaofficial . Feels like we just did the ‘26 run. The Mille is serious driving business. And as we know from lifting, summer bodies are built during winter time 😂.

Let the fun begin and wish us luck to get accepted to the fantastic and historic 100th run of the Mille Miglia.
